Bagatelle Books

Bagatelle is a lovely book shop with a collection curated to pique a variety of interests. Books are also well organized so it is easy to find what you are looking for if you have something specific in mind. If you are exploring west Asheville, I definitely recommend stopping in to pick up your next read. My friends an I had a lovely afternoon going in and out of shops on the main street there, and this bookshop was the star of the show for me.

Bagatelle Books is a total gem in West Asheville! Their curated collection of used and rare titles is truly impressiveyou can tell every book on the shelf was chosen with care. The friendly staff makes you feel right at home, offering great recommendations without being overbearing. What makes it even better is that it's connected to Forage Coffee and the Flora plant store. You can grab a delicious latte, wander through a literal jungle of beautiful houseplants, and then step right into the bookstore for your next read. It is the absolute perfect spot for a mellow afternoon.

A lovely, cozy place with a welcoming hostess! Unfortunately, I was offered a very low price for my books, so I didn't sell anything. I'd get four times that on eBay, though I'll have to wait. In any case, I recommend this place for a fascinating journey into the world of old books!)

Cozy bookstore that is bigger inside than you would expect from the exterior. Incredible selection from new and used to rare and vintage in a wide selection of genres. Well organized and enjoyable to browse. Owner was very nice.
