5 STARS!!! I’ve trusted Kim of Salon K Hair Spa, to care for my hair over the past 15 years. This woman truly knows and loves her craft! Over these years, I’ve seen her transform countless heads of varying lengths, textures, and styles to healthy, gorgeous (us regulars call it "SLAYED") hair - EVERY single time! As a relaxed (thick and long) hair client, Kim continuously relaxes my hair and cuts, trims, and colors as I desire. I still don’t understand how my scalp never burns (but she does). Heads up to my tender headed friends - she’s not the gentlest at the sink (I love every second though) but the squeak upon conclusion of wash is simply unmatched. Over the years, Kim has been essential to me maintaining healthy hair amongst life stresses, medication changes, a pandemic, and so much more! Additionally, I’ve personally witnessed her provide the same exceptional service to countless happy clients. Watching her cut or style hair with such attentiveness and precision - no matter the length, texture or style - amazes me every time. Again, not only does she know her craft, she truly loves it and it shows. Great atmosphere. These ladies are extremely beautiful, friendly, and kind. I went in to get my locs removed and to get a tapered cut and both Kim and Tameka were talking me through the whole process. I went from scared to laughing in no time. I love my hair and will definitely be back. Everyone who I saw leave the salon walked out looking fly and happy. Girl you better stop riding that ferry and go to some professional talent right here at Salon K.

Had the most wonderful experience at this family run salon. I was ready for hair club with my thinning hair but got wonderful cut for my natural hair that looks great. Felt like was in a ladies version of local Black Barbershop with wonderful staff & clients. Great experience.

I've been going to kim for years and hands down she's the best hair stylist on the island ! Being an African American girl it's so hard to find a quality hair salon that will treat my hair well, but with Kim I never worry. I always hear people complaining about the prices but you get what you pay for ! She uses great products and takes care of your hair step by step. Also she leaves your hair smelling good when you leave, instead of that burnt hair smell.
