Reed is the best hair colorist, stylist, and barber in the Ark-La-Tex area. I can say that with a lot of confidence because unfortunately (or fortunately for the purposes of this review), I have been around the hairdresser block. I have really dry, brittle, hair, naturally. But, I love getting highlights. Reed takes care of my hair and makes sure I get what I want every time. Reed is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to highlight placement and making sure to not use a lightener too harsh for my dry and brittle hair. If you tell her you only want one inch of hair cut, she will respect your wishes and only cut that much hair. Since going to Reed, the overall health of my hair has increased dramatically. I cannot believe that I am now in a place where I can say, I love my hair. Highly recommend Reed at Waves of Color!

My 5 week review....with pics from my 1st visit to salon...Reed I LOVE YOU !!!!!...o I will never go back to anyone at Avalon salon....I'm so surprised you made my hair look so great and Kyrah ruined it there...and owner grace ann at Avalon backed her up... I'm sure everyone can tell which hair is from which salon.

I've been living in Shreveport for 4 years and had been driving 3 hours to Jackson, MS to have my hair done, because I don't trust just anyone with my hair. I knew after my first visit and appointment with Melissa that I wouldn't have to make that drive anymore! I love my new salon and hairdresser!! Update... I've now been in Shreveport for over 10 years. I just saw Melissa today for a haircut. She recently moved to a new location off Line Ave & I have to say I love it! 🩵 Over the 6 years, I've been going to Melissa she's been a much needed constant in my life... Warm & welcoming without fail... Open. Kind. Empathic. Positive. Encouraging. Steadfast. She witnessed my journey through a lot of shit.. And a lot of hair! She's been an ear to listen... I received a gift certificate to get tinsel put in my hair. I was told Megan was the one to go to, and although I had to wait until she returned from maternity leave, I can tell you she was worth the wait! My tensil looks wonderful and is the perfect amount of shimmer in all the best places. At my request she also trimmed my long hair, and it feels amazing now.

When it comes to anything facial or skin related – AMY MANCO is my go-to girl. Not only is she AMAZING, she's always looking for ways to expand her skills with continued training of the newest and latest trends. One of my favorite things to ask her..."what’s new and when can I get it"? With this visit, I booked a HydraFacial, because the texture of my skin was a hot mess. The HydraFacial has never let me down. It consistently provides long-lasting results and instant gratification. It’s been a couple of weeks since my treatment and my face is still smooth, hydrated and glowing! I swear every time I get one, I’m shocked at how much a difference it makes! Cannot wait to go back! Thanks to Amy and the staff at Waves of Color. (Amanda also helped me pick out some hair products on the way out).

Amy Manco is the best! Been using her for years! I get hydro facials and laser hair removal! Wouldn’t use anyone else!
