I took my wife, to this salon a week and a half ago for a simple hair treatment and a small trim. She had beautiful, long hair that reached all the way down to her lower back—her pride and joy. We were very clear that she only wanted a small cut, just enough to clean up the ends. Instead, Norma cut off nearly 10 inches of her hair—something my wife never asked for. What was supposed to be a light trim turned into a drastic and unapproved haircut that left my wife devastated. To make matters worse, the overall quality of the cut was poor. It looked rushed, uneven, and lacked the care and precision you would expect from a stylist, especially given that we paid $750 for this service. This experience was extremely disappointing. Not only did Norma fail to listen to what my wife wanted, but there was also no real apology or effort made to make things right. For that price, we expected professionalism, attention to detail, and most importantly, respect for the client’s wishes. Unfortunately, we received none of that. I would not recommend Norma to anyone who values their hair or expects to be treated with care and professionalism. This experience was heartbreaking for us and completely unacceptable.

Oh my gosh, I have never been to such an amazing hair salon! The service here is absolutely exceptional. Norma gave me the cutest French bob, and I am beyond thrilled with the results – I truly love it and feel like I’ve gained so much confidence. I also have thinning hair, and Joel was incredibly helpful, offering great tips on managing my fine, thin hair and recommending some wonderful products to try. If you’re looking for an exceptional salon in SB, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Samara is an amazing hair stylist. I completely trust her to make my hair look great and she always delivers! I've been a client of hers for many years, and I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a great stylist, especially for blondes! And, she's always a lot of fun to talk to during treatment!

I love this cute downtown Salon! All the stylists are welcoming. I've been a client of Samara Canfield for almost 2 decades and I would not trust anyone else with my hair. She is a pro-colorist and such a lovely human. I always look forward to my quarterly appointment!

I'm thrilled that Norma is still seeing clients! She's absolutely fantastic and I've been coming to her for years. I love my new haircut, it feels great to have it down after wearing it in a bun for last year. I was also very pleased with the safety protocols at the salon. Highly recommended!
