Wonderful first hair appointment at the salon. I've gone to my friend for a long time and she retired so I was nervous about getting my hair done by someone else. But Neil made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped into the salon. The haircut and color are perfect, and Neil listened to what I prefer and did exactly that. Highly recommend - will definitely be a regular client now.

I recently moved to San Marcos from a rural area in another state, where I'd had trouble finding someone to cut my hair well. Seeing the great reviews AKYA received, I gave them a try. What a find! Both stylists are skilled, professional, and kind. They offer clients a calm, relaxing space. And the Aveda products they use and sell are top-notch. At last I have the haircut I want! Highly recommend.

A huge thanks to Kelvon and Neil for fitting me in for a cut and color after I had to change my schedule. It’s such a treat to be able to go to Akya and know that no matter what happens, they will work together to provide excellence in hair care! This time, Kelvon provided a precision cut-no small feat given how shaggy I was! He also worked diligently, going over the time normally allotted for color-did not rush at all, even when other clients came for their appointment. I am very happy with the wonderful service I received-cuts and color last a lot longer than any other place I’ve been before. The company is always a pleasure-this couple goes way out of their way to welcome you in and ensure a clean and excellent conversation when you visit! I live in North Austin and have been driving to San Marcos for over 20 years to have my hair done at Kelvon and Neil's salon. It is worth it if you want the best. I don't trust anyone else to take care of my hair!
