A New Dawn PDX

I had a wonderful experience getting a perm with Dawn. From start to finish, she made the process smooth. She’s such a pro. And I love the results, a loose beach perm is exactly what I wanted. And exactly what I got. Perfection.

Best salon experience I have had in a LONG time!!!! I wasn’t sure about getting a perm but I LOVE it!!! Dawn worked her magic and my hair looks so great!!!!!!

I came to Dawn’s shop for a perm. I’ve had many perms in my lifetime and have never had this problem. Dawn asked my what kjnd of curl I was going for, she showed me what she thought she could do with my hair and we agreed. This was on March 26. I left the salon a mess. I said it wasn’t what I expected and it seemed frizzy. I waited 72 hours before washing. I washed and diffused, used a curl cream w/heat protectant. The back was nearly curless, my ends were frizzy, and I could see how damaged my hair was. I did a deep conditioning treatment. I texted Dawn, she offered to do a deep conditioning treatment or cut it, I had already done a deep conditioning treatment and honestly did not want to have her cut my hair. Eventually she offered to refund 1/2 my money which she did. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I finally went for a haircut to trim off the dead and damaged hair. I had hair below my shoulders and because of the severe damage and breakage that was occurring, I had to cut my hair to just below my ears…I am devastated. The first photo is what I looked liked leaving the salon, the second is what it looked like after I deep conditioner treatment and got a small trim, third is me now with very short hair because of the damage, 4th is what it was supposed to look like. I do not recommend. It will take me years to get my hair long again 😭😢😡

I am so impressed with the perm I got from Dawn! What normally takes hairdressers 4-5 hours she did in an hour and a half. She is such a sweet person and really listened to what I wanted. I’m so happy with the outcome! I will definitely be back

Dawn truly is the Queen of Perms. I went to her for my first perm ever and also a cut. I was a little nervous, but not too much because the many photos of her work on her website speak for themselves. (If you haven’t looked yet, you should!) I can’t say enough good things about the experience. She was friendly and fun, helpful and understanding when a problem with Apple Maps sent me to the wrong building, and just generally fun to talk to and spend time with. The service itself was fantastic, she’s VERY fast, but skilled enough that her speed doesn’t compromise the quality. She did a great cut very quickly and then right on to the perm. And now the best part, the RESULTS: I couldn’t be happier! It’s EXACTLY what I asked her for, just like the pictures I brought for inspiration. And my hair is naturally so stick straight, it looks flat ironed when it air dries. The cut, the shape, the wave, all absolutely perfect. Thank you Dawn!
