I’ve been getting my hair cut by Audrey since around 2019. It always comes out perfect, and honestly, one of my favorite things about her haircuts is how nicely they grow out. Sometimes when you get a haircut, it only looks good until it starts to grow out, but every time Audrey cuts my hair, it grows out so beautifully. She understands that I don’t do much to style my hair, and she’s really talented at giving me cute, low-effort looks. All of the haircuts I've gotten from her have also been really gender-affirming, and I so appreciate how much care she puts into her work. I can’t recommend her enough! I literally live in a different state now but still hold out for a cut from her. 🩵

I feel so lucky to have found my new colorist at Goldfinch Salon! Theresa is so thoughtful and listened well to what I wanted. She nailed it and her application was thorough and perfect, plus she made the visit so enjoyable with her genuine and natural manner. The salon itself is a jewel. It's light filled, warm and such a nice place to sit for two hours and watch the walking traffic on College Ave. Every client who walked in the door was greeted warmly and they reciprocated in turn, always a good sign that a place has a good vibe.

I visited Gold Finch Salon recently for what I hoped would be a simple, clean haircut, but I left extremely dissatisfied with the results. I clearly requested a clean cut, but what I received was far from it. The layers are choppy and uneven, making it look like two separate sections of hair have been awkwardly pieced together rather than blending naturally. It’s not at all what I asked for, and honestly, it’s going to take months to grow out and fix. When I reached out to address the issue and requested a refund (or at least a partial refund), I never even received a response to my email. The significant gap between what I requested and what was delivered was disappointing enough, but the complete lack of acknowledgment or customer service after the fact makes this experience even worse. I understand that miscommunications can happen in any service industry, but the execution here fell well short of expectations, and the follow-up was nonexistent. I cannot recommend Gold Finch Salon based on this experience and would encourage others to be very cautious about their services. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving both their technical skills and their customer service to better serve future clients

Audrey is sooooo good at what she does! I love that she specializes in razor cuts. I have been looking for someone to help bring out my natural waves and put in layers to add volume to straight and fine hair (I'm east asian!) She's also lovely, friendly, and a good listener. I have walked out of the salon happy and satisfied with my hair cut every single time. Totally worth it. Attached photo is a few days after my cut by Audrey 🙂

Long overdue review of my favorite hairstylist, Audrey! I was always one to keep the same hairstyle FOR YEARS - it required a lot of effort (and hair products) on my part to style it the way I wanted. But all that was out the window in the throws of postpartum life. That’s when I met Audrey. She answered my call for a low-maintenance haircut that looked great straight out of bed (no curlers, no heat), maybe some small amount of product for the ends. It was just what I needed to keep up with the kids, but still look presentable! I’m so glad I don’t have to use my heat products and hairspray anymore. She is always an attentive listener and really tries to understand how your cut can fit into your lifestyle. She does an amazing job framing your face and gives you a cut that looks great as it grows out. Super personable and easy to talk to! I’m always looking forward to my self-care hair appts with her!

It’s always scary visiting a new salon. I hate doing online research. I chose this place for a major hair transformation and I’m so happy I did. I saw Morgan. She was super fun and listened to what I wanted. She asked me all along the way how I was feeling about it, looked for my direction. I felt like I was in control the whole time. In the end I think she was just as excited about the cut as I was. Very cute salon with positive vibes. Seems like everyone working there enjoys what they do. Super happy with my hair, would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend Morgan Leek! I'm not exaggerating when I say Morgan has given me the best hair cut, style and balayage than any other hairstylist I've been to in the last 20 years. I know that I won't be in San Francisco forever, but.. is it unreasonable to want to stay because you simply cannot give up this wonderful human that takes such good care of you and your hair!? For reference: I have very thick, wavy/curly-ish hair and Morgan gives me the best short hair (chin length) cuts and thins out the weight perfectly! The first time I visited Goldfinch I felt like we had been friends forever - I'm so lucky to have found her!
