L Hair Boutique is a private, elegant salon in Newton Center. Lana's expertise in cutting, coloring and blowdrying hair is exceptional. She is meticulous, creative and very talented. Lana does the best blowdrys I have ever had because they are more than just a blowdry. She styles hair to make her clients feel glamorous and beautiful! And I love the experience in the salon. The music is very cool and everything is spotless. Lana is professional and lovely. I find myself going there every week!

I have been going to L Boutique and Lana for years. To say that I LOVE Lana and her amazing haircuts is an understatement. I am frequently stopped and asked,"Who did that wonderful haircut?" here in the Boston area, NYC, Paris, Munich, London, Vienna, Salzburg, etc. Many of my European friends have taken my advice and had Lana haircuts which they also love. Their only problem is that they are too far away to come as often as they would like. But they come whenever they can. To find a great hairdresser and a colorist is a challenge and I'm happy I found Lana. She is highly professional and always on top of new technologies. I always get complimented on my haircut.Salon's decoration is very tasteful and even being there relaxes you. I would highly recommend Lana's salon to anyone.

Absolutely love love love Lana! The salon is beautiful, modern, peaceful, relaxing, tasteful, unimposing and European. Lana does an amazing job at creating a luxurious but not overwhelming atmosphere and treats you to tea or coffee, a little snack. Just lovely! But the real treasure and what makes this boutique salon so unique is Lana's skill and artful mastery. She takes time with every client, listens closely and does a beautiful job of interpreting what I want everytime-even when I have a hard time communicating what I want or don't even know myself. She styles you to your personality and life style. I used to get haircuts every 4 weeks and was never really satisfied but now I go to her every 2 months or sometimes even longer and her cut and style really hold up even as your hair grows out of it, it still looks fabulous. She's amazing at balayage, which is like a very subtle and natural looking ombré and has a unique technique that yields a beautiful result that never really grows out (unlike highlights which require so much maintenance) because she does not color near the root. While her fees reflect the time and effort she devotes to you and her experience as a stylist it is so worth it and will actually end up being a wash if you're the type that gets regular cut and style at an average salon. I will never let anyone else touch my hair! UPDATE: time and time again people ask if I just got a haircut - even when it's been months (and my hair is a short asymmetric bob). I LOVE Lana and sing her praises to anyone who will listen. Call and book ahead because she's busy. And for good reason!
