I am way behind on providing a review of this incredible salon!!! Coco is now cutting my entire family’s hair. We make a day of it because we drive an hour just because she is THAT good! We have thicker hair which not every stylist knows how to manage. She is truly a hair witch and creates magic every single time. Last December my daughter wanted a fun hair day with Co Co for her birthday. She is a bit young for hair dye, but that didn’t mean we couldn’t have some fun! Coco put hair tinsel in her hair just before the holidays. She also knew my daughter is cat obsessed so the owner of the salon came in on her day off, to bring in her hairless cats! Lol! It was her best birthday ever! Today my son and I got our haircut and my son typically hates getting his cut. This was life-changing for him. He was listened to and even got hot coco and snacks! He now wants a monthly haircut, lol!! This salon is AMAZING!! You will not be disappointed. All of their staff are so friendly and kind.

I recently had the pleasure of getting a cut and color inspired by my favorite photos, and the results were absolutely perfect. Before my appointment, Coco took the time to do a thorough consultation so I knew exactly what to expect and what my payment would look like. Coco was incredibly easy to talk to—it genuinely felt like I was chatting with a friend I’d known for years. From the moment I walked in, the vibe of the salon was awesome. I felt completely safe and welcomed, which is so important when trying a new stylist or service. The environment was comfortable, and everything about the experience was inviting. The most impressive part was that I got exactly what I wanted—a rare achievement when it comes to cut and color services. I’ve struggled in the past to find someone who can really nail my inspo pictures, and Coco delivered flawlessly. I’ll absolutely be coming back, and I highly recommend Coco to anyone looking for expert hair care in a friendly, enjoyable setting.

I've been seeing Janks for cuts and color for years! I am always beyond happy with the work she does. The last couple of colors I got I was open to a letting her run wild with the colors, and she really delivered! Janks will also not pnly recommend products to use at home, but guide me through how to use them. The salon itself is very comfortable and welcoming, and all the stylists are kind and warm. Im grateful that I'm not expected to be chatty, as some days I feel more withdrawn than others. People seem happy to be here, and it really shows in the quality of work they deliver.

Today was my second time at Lumos Nox. I originally went on a recommendation of a coworker. The salon isn't close to me (~40 minutes away), but I'm anxious when it comes to getting my haircut, and she spoke highly of them. Both visits Cassidy was my stylist (yes, our names are similar), and she has been amazing and chill! She makes me feel so comfortable and is really good with curly hair! Going there is definitely worth the drive.

I am still feeling absolutely SO beautiful even days after my appointment! My best friend, who has the most amazing hair, recommended Cassidy. This was my first haircut in years because had trust issues in finding a stylist for my mixed-girl curls-- but this was the first time ever I ended up with a shape I was absolutely obsessed with. Cassidy knows curly hair down to a science, answered every question I had, and was so easy to work together with to get the exact look I wanted. I couldn't be happier after a first appointment!

Lumos Nox Salon is the best salon I've ever had the pleasure of going to. Hanna communicated with me throughout my cut and dye, and the entire process went so smoothly. They went above and beyond to make sure I left the salon with the style I wanted. I had so much fun with my experience here, and I will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommend if you're looking for a queer friendly space to get alternative cuts and colors!

I came to this salon after spending years at another place where I was never truly happy with my hair. From my very first appointment with Coco, everything changed. She knew exactly what to do for my hair type and texture, and for the first time in a long time, I love my hair again. My cut and style feel natural, flattering, and easy, it’s such a good feeling to actually like my hair again. Coco is incredibly skilled, thoughtful, and really listens. I’m so glad I made the switch! Highly recommend.
