Kimistry Hair Lab

I was a loyal client at Kimistry Hair Lab for 6 years. I supported this business even when appointments ran hours late, or when I was burned pretty badly under the dryer without a refund, discount, or apology for that incident. Despite that, I stayed in an attempt to support the business until one day, my appointment was mysteriously canceled without my doing. After being ignored and told "I don’t know why you can’t book or why your appointment was canceled, I popped up to get clarity and was met with a cold shoulder and a dry stare then eventually received a vague text message saying I could no longer be serviced no explanation, just "she can’t." It was disappointing, especially after years of support. A stylist’s attitude and professionalism should match their talent and sadly, that was not the case here.

I obtained a chance to visit this salon this morning. I have yet to get my hair done at this location 💇‍♀️💆‍♀️, but Ms. Shannon has great customer skills. She acknowledged my presence as soon as I walked in. She took a few minutes to explain some things and processes about the salon services and website. She exhibited patience and kindness in talking to me. I appreciate her doing so. I plan to return to have my hair done.🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸

After my third visit to this hair salon, I can honestly say that I absolutely loved my experience. As a girl who has grown up in hair salons, I believe this is one of the best and what I envision all salons should aspire to be. All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They create such a calm but entertaining atmosphere. You are surrounded by LITERAL BLACK GIRL MAGIC, flowing throughout the shop and being nurtured in front of your eyes. You can tell that they love what they do and when you’re done and your hear "Enjoy your hair!" as you’re leaving, you know they truly mean it! Shannon did an awesome job on my knotless box braids. This was my first time trying this style and there were certain things I was just not aware of about the style. Shannon went over and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my look and I truly appreciate her efforts! I will definitely be back!

I just want to say that these ladies are beyond professional and that’s I’ve been pleased with every single visit. My hair is always flawless from my silk press thanks Alicia and my Braids. What takes them over the top for me is the customer service. I’ve never sat and waited for hours it’s always an in and out. Right after having my baby I came in for an appointment and I had just pumped my breast milk for my baby. The fridge wasn’t working in the salon so I was trying to figure out what to do to save my milk. The owner Kim who is the sweetest ever took her own money got a bag of ice and put my milk in a cooler for me that day. That meant everything to me and I will always to loyal to this salon. Girls you rock.

Awesome experience from start to finish!! I was going for a new look and I decided to get my hair colored. Kim did a full head balayage and twists on my natural hair. I could not be more pleased with the results!!! It’s gorgeous and I have already received several compliments!! The salon is clean, the stylists are friendly and funny, and they really specialize in healthy hair. Bonus: they have snacks and water for clients which I think is such a thoughtful added touch!!

First time I got a silk press and I was very happy with it. Very clean and professional.
