K Slayed!

I scheduled an appointment online for November 26th at 2:30pm, with much advanced notice so the establishment had no excuse for not knowing I had an appointment today. I took time out of my work day to commute to the salon and when I arrived, the salon was locked and dark and no one was there. I received a confirmation and appointment reminder earlier that day, suggesting that there was no cancellation and that the appointment was still scheduled as normal. I tried calling the salon’s number listed on the website numerous times and I could not reach anyone. I was pretty much ghosted. The feedback I’d give to the establishment is to at least have the decency to tell me you are not available rather than wasting my time commuting, just to find that no one is there. I’m highly disappointed in the lack of communication and will not be coming back ever again. When I pay for a service with my hard earned money, I am entitled to receive the service that I paid for. Why? Because I paid good money for it and paying is a sign that I am entitled to receive the services I paid for. As a now former client, I have no choice but to rate this establishment poorly due to this major inconvenience. I expect better communication and professionalism if there were issues not being able to fulfill my appointment. The fact that no cancellation notice was given frustrates me greatly. When speaking to other past clients; I also heard that there were significant communication issues and that this shop has a poor reputation for customer service and communication. To any person considering doing business with this establishment, I’d encourage you to avoid this shop if you care about your time and respect. To the owner, If you really care about your clients, you should show up on time and communicate beforehand if that’s not the case. As other clients have stated, this stylist is highly unprofessional. Made an appointment days in advance, and received a voicemail from a landline, not a cellphone, but a landline, less than 24 hours before the appointment stating that the appointment time was not able to be honored due to a time conflict. I responded back by text stating that's absolutely fine and received no response since out of all devices used to contact a client, the stylist chose a landline. When I was booking the appointment, I had a gut feeling that the appointment would be cancelled the day of, but I still proceeded to buy supplies and prepare for the style I booked and fully pre-paid for. Usually I do my own hair since I'm fully capable, but I decided to patronize a business and this is the result. The booking site clearly states that appointments need to be cancelled 2 days in advance, but when the stylist does it, there's no accountability. Also, the site says that there are no refunds, but she just so happened to refund me on the day of the appointment. Absolutely unacceptable, and I would discourage others from booking with this person. Happy Holidays!

She is so talented in hair braiding, she knows every styles, and capable of doing it all ,she makes everyone feel comfortable and have snavk for all, this truly is a business woman, that is handling her own, she is a young woman who is striving for the best to be successful. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I had an appointment yesterday at 12pm, I got there and nobody was there, I called multiple times and waited for over an hour, she never answered the phone or showed up…. I had already paid $90 for no reason, so now I have to dispute the charge with my bank. And also, this is the second time she didn’t show up to an appointment I made with her, so I wonder how many other people she’s done this to. Smh

I’ve been bringing my daughter here for close to one year already, and K does an amazing job each time. My daughter gets knotless braids of varying lengths and sizes and each time she’s incredibly happy with how it comes out! Her shop is always clean and for the most part the appointments start on time. If any changes to appointments must be made I feel like she is good at communicating. She’s a very talented stylist and her prices are more than reasonable! I say definitely book with her. She is sweet and professional!
