Customer Reviews
Salon Metric has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 211 reviews on Google
I’m so happy with my experience with Mackenzie today. I went in for a blowout, and I’m incredibly impressed with her skills. I have curly hair, and I usually wear it straight, but my hair needs to be straightened first and then curled. Not a lot of hairstylist like to do that because it requires time. Not only did she do an AMAZING job in just one hour, but she also charged a super competitive price of $35. The products she used are the best on the market (Kerastase)and she’s extremely knowledgeable about everything related to hair care. I’m definitely coming back from now on. Hands down, the best experience I’ve had in a long time! 😊
Slanted Haircut (2-Inch Difference), Poor Color Correction, and Burned Scalp I truly regret leaving a low review for this salon, but I am deeply disappointed by my experience. I came in to correct minor spotting from a previous appointment—an issue that was only visible in direct sunlight. After two consultations, my stylist and I agreed to use color highlights instead of bleach, understanding that the result might either correct the issue or remain unchanged. Unfortunately, the opposite occurred: the banding remained, and the surrounding hair became several shades lighter, making the issue far more noticeable, even indoors. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the manager was called over. His response was unprofessional and dismissive. He stated, "When it comes to color corrections, we know as much as you," and added that if they couldn’t fix it, I shouldn’t expect another salon to do better. He also implied that I was trying to get a free service, despite my clear intention to pay the $300–$400 that had been discussed. I value the hard work of professionals and was fully prepared to pay for quality service—but I also expected expertise and respect in return. The manager eventually offered to cover the cost of recoloring my hair. During that process, my stylist applied the color and left me unattended for roughly 40 minutes. My scalp began burning so badly that it turned red and became extremely tender to the touch. Despite trying to get someone’s attention, no one came to check on me. When the stylist finally returned, we rinsed out the color, but the pain was so severe that I couldn’t allow them to dry my hair and had to leave with it wet. When I got home, I discovered that the correction made no visible improvement and that my haircut was noticeably uneven—one side being nearly two inches longer than the other. In total, I lost over $300 and now have to pay another salon to fix both the color and cut. To make matters worse, based on how the manager handled my situation and responded to other less-than-perfect reviews, I worry this feedback will be met with the same lack of professionalism. It’s incredibly disheartening to have spent the equivalent of 23 hours of work (a weeks worth of work for a college student) only to leave with damaged, uneven hair and a burned scalp.
Was one of my favorite go to Salons, loved how Hannah cut my hair. My daughter knows the owner and when she lived in the area went to a salon he used to be a stylist at. Hannah had to cancel and reschedule twice, but she books out so far, I had to get into another stylist, I have to go every three weeks for roots. I had to cancel once due to a migraine and also my hair does not do well with the color at the Salon, and with another stylist I experienced banding. However, I loved my cut! When I tried to reschedule with Hannah, she would no longer put me back on her books. Also I like to go to the stylist I book with, not assistants or others who are learning, I like to go to seasoned experienced stylist and will pay for that. Hannah was super sweet but the receptionist they had, not so much.
I came in looking to change up the hairstyle that I’d worn for over a decade, and Mackenzie absolutely delivered! She helped me define what it was that I was looking for then executed that vision perfectly. I had forgotten how nice it was to have a haircut so precise and professionally well done. I will definitely be back!
Whitley was awesome and I left extremely happy with my hair and the experience. Kate was great too and I'm happy she's getting to help and learn. I already have my next appointment scheduled!
Whitley is an amazing stylist who always knows how to make a girl feel special. Whitley is the only person I trust to do my hair and eyebrow wax.
Hands down the best place in town for a great haircut. I’ve been coming to Salon Metric for a while now and every visit is consistently top notch. Ian O’Connell, the owner, is a true pro. He is skilled, detail oriented, and always makes sure you walk out feeling your best. The vibe in the salon is modern, clean, and welcoming. Everyone is friendly and professional and the whole experience feels elevated without being pretentious. Ian really listens to what you want and delivers every time. Highly recommend.
