Consistently amazing service, super friendly staff, and the cutest space. Christie gave me an amazing haircut, Chelsea did a fantastic cut and single-process color, and Tess has my nails looking perfect every time. So many people ask where I get my hair and nails done—if you’ve been thinking about making that appointment but haven’t yet, it’s time! Can’t recommend The Hive enough <3

The Hive is such a fun salon to visit. They have a great and individualistic vibe. My stylist, Dakota, did a great job of talking me through what I hoped to get and explained what she thought would be best for my specific hair and my expectations. When I returned for a refresh cut in 3 months I asked for help in styling my hair. Dakota took the time to show me exactly how to apply product while also being realistic for my level of commitment. Wonderful space to get a hair cut and I trust the work that comes from their salon. 10/10!

I spent days looking for a good salon in Lawrence for a last minute appointment and stumbled upon The Hive, and this place is honestly Lawrence’s best hidden treasure. I got a haircut with a b3 bonding treatment and Marysa went above and beyond to make sure the results turn out exactly the way I wanted. I came out of my appointment with my hair feeling and looking better than ever. Marysa is also extremely warm and conversational which definitely made the experience way more enjoyable. The space is so pretty as well and has a great ambience. Definitely recommend!

2nd time getting my hair done with Chelsea and I'm happy I found this salon. I've always had my hair done by people I know so I was nervous finding a new place but Chelsea always makes me feel comfortable. Thanks for the help with my indecisiveness! I also love the building and decor inside, overall just a cool place to be. Their wet floor sign is in the shape of a banana peel, nuff said.

I got a curly haircut and a balayage from Chelsea and she did an amazing job!! She is a wonderful person to talk to and was very educated on my hair type. She asked all the right questions to better understand my hair and my hair had never felt so healthy after. I highly recommend getting a balayage as well. Chelsea is very attentive and thinks of the minor details that I had not even considered. I honestly can’t wait for my next excuse to get my hair done!!!

Love love love Dakota and The Hive!!! My daughter came in for her natural curly hair (I tagged along) and after the experience she had with Dakota I booked an appointment and am in love with the results. 50 years of naturally/different textured hair and not knowing what to do with it and she educated me-walked me through the whole process. I’m so mad I didn’t come sooner. Anyone with curly hair needs to see Dakota and I can’t go on about the ambiance enough. Friendly and welcoming, fun atmosphere. I will be back, already booked my next appointment. 💜

Tess is one of the best nail techs i’ve ever had! Affordable and they last till i get my fills about every 3 weeks!
