I came in for a walk in appointment just to get a little trim. I’m tight on money right now so I said no to the wash thinking the price would be lower like most salons.. I was in her chair for less than 10 min. That’s a fact! And they still charged me $60 for a trim that took less than 10 minutes. When the lady was checking me out I told her I only had the trim and she said whether you get the wash or not the price is the same (which is fine, I understand that) but what makes me upset is, the girl who cut my hair failed to tell me that. When she asked if we were doing the wash and I said no because I’m struggling, she should have made me aware the price would be the same regardless. If I’m paying $60 regardless of the wash or not then OF COURSE I’m gonna get the wash. If I’m being honest, I feel the reason she didn’t say anything is because for her that means getting me out of her chair faster! That really upset me and I will never come back.

Emma is magic!! She did a great consultation and really got the image I was going for. She nailed it. I do not have easy hair so for her to capture exactly what I wanted the first time out is miraculous. Of course I booked my next two hair services as I will definitely be going back! The salon is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend salon West on Walsingham.

Cannot say enough about Emma M. She knew exactly what I wanted and it turned out perfect! She is very skilled at color and cut by far! I appreciated her taking time to go over everything with me and making me comfortable through the whole process, mind you I cut off my hair short and completely different hair color! Big change. Thank you Emma I will definitely be back to you to do your magic! I feel renewed!!!

I cannot recommend Emma M enough! From the moment I sat in the chair, she was incredibly friendly and supportive. She really listened to what I wanted and understood my vision perfectly - even though I really didn't know it myself. I felt so comfortable throughout the entire appointment, and the result was amazing. My hair is exactly what I wanted, and I feel like myself again. If you're looking for a stylist who is not only talented but also genuinely cares about making you feel your best, look no further!

One of the worst experiences of my life! I spent years growing my hair out and had been coloring it blonde for 4 years. I decided to switch hairdressers to get closer to home and 1 year later I am still paying for that mistake. My long hair was burned off by a stylist at Salon West. I called immediately and asked to speak to the owner and the customer service manager called instead. He told me he would look into it and call me back. He called me back to tell me the stylist didn’t do anything wrong! That is what upset me more than anything. I called back and again, asked for the owner. The owner asked the same gentleman to call me back and tell me they would refund me $90. I asked if I could come and show the damage done and he said the owners weren’t interested. I was concerned that the same stylist would do this to someone else. I was asking for nothing except to show them. They declined. It’s been almost a year and my hair is no longer than the photos above. The new hair growing in is healthy, but the burnt hair continues to break and frizz. My hair grows slowly and it has mostly ruined my self image. Not being apologized to or allowed to meet the owner in person was unconscionable! That is the problem! Zero accountability at the top!!!

Emma M is so good at what she does. Cannot recommend her more. Even with super difficult hair she perfectly listens adjusts and implements to perfection! She is also a genius at what she does and knows how to make my hair look perfect when I was struggling/I’d have no idea what to do.

After having my hair fried from having it highlighted 2 years ago for my wedding and having the store manager fix my hair I almost gave up on this place. I was completely traumatized and haven’t had my hair done since 2022..I’m so glad I met Emma, she did such a great job on my hair. She listens and makes sure she understands what you want. Emma actually takes pride in her work which is something I don’t see often. My hair came out beautiful and exactly how I envisioned it. I will be coming back to see her! Please know she is one of your best employees.
