African Queen of Braids

I’m originally from Georgia, but in the area for work so I googled braiders. Ms. Marie was courtesy from the very start. I got knotless braids yesterday and I love them. They’re so small, neat, and long. Nice, clean establishment with great customer service. 10/10, I highly recommend.

I was looking for braids for my upcoming birthday and upon searching google was drawn into this place and my intuition did not guide me wrong at all! I asked for braids at a certain look and color and with no exaggeration these are the BEST cutest braids I’ve EVER had in my life. They were so kind and listened exactly to what I wanted and Executed it! Seriously my braids are perfect!!

I got small boho knotless braids done here, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! I had a stylist cancel on me while I was in their shop and needed braids very quickly. African Queen of Braids was waiting at the door when I called them explaining how urgently I needed my hair done. They were ready within 4 mins. The stylists were very fast but still took their time to make sure every braid was neat and consistent. They used products that were soft and gentle on my hair, which I really appreciated. The braids weren't tight at all, yet I can tell they're going to last a long time. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, making it easy to relax while getting my hair done. They didn't rush me when it came time to pay or try to add any surprise charges, which showed great professionalism. Everyone there was friendly and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful, clean, and long-lasting boho knotless braids! It took about 5 hrs to complete my waist length braids. And they supplied human hair that has not tangled or been shedding. And the braids are very soft. They didn't rip my hair while combing it and they made me feel like family. I would give 10 stars if I could. The braids are VERY SOFT and LIGHTWEIGHT. and they provided the hair for me.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My mom and sister had knotless braids done at this shop by Maria, and I loved the work thus I asked my mom to set me an appointment. I had an appointment at this shop last Tuesday, in which I was under the impression that Maria would be doing my hair. However, instead 2 other ladies did my hair, in which they were nice but one of their work clearly is not. The woman who completed the back of my head did a horrible job, in which I would have never known had I not been attempting to do a style that required the back of my head to be sectioned properly. With that being the case, I took a picture of the back of my head and noticed that the parts are HUGE! I then reached out to my mom so that she could speak with Maria in hopes to rectify the situation, and Maria apologized for the horrible work and as I live out of state, she told my mom to let her know when I’m in town so that she could redo my hair. She also mentioned that she would be visiting Africa next month and wouldn’t return until July. As such, my mom gave me her number to setup an appointment before then. I reached out to her and she advised that if a customer is not pleased with her hair that we must let them know within 24 hours, otherwise she would not be able to redo my hair. She further advised that she could compensate me with feed-in braids or $50. Keep in mind that these knotless braids cost me $260, and the entire back of my head looks a hot mess!! Someone literally played in my head for $260 so either redoing my hair or giving me my money back makes more sense! Taking these horrendous braids out of my hair today, and I will never return!! If you plan on getting your hair braided at this shop, either make sure Maria will be doing your hair, or make sure you check the back of your head before leaving! See pictures below!

I was looking for a local braider for a last minute appointment and stumbled upon this gem! From booking my appointment to the finished service Mrs.Marie and Ms.Fatima took EXCELLENT care of me. They made sure that I was comfortable from beginning to end and gave me just what I asked for… the custom blended color is EVERYTHING! Thank you ladies for an AWESOME experience!
