Naturally You Natural Hair Care

I’ve been locked for almost three years now and have had such a great experience with Naturally You. When I decided to loc my hair, it was after going back and forth about it for three years. I was honestly pretty scared and knew I needed a lot of support. A trusted friend referred me to Connie, and from the very beginning I felt like I was in good hands. Connie is incredibly knowledgeable, shared a ton of information, and asked thoughtful questions. It really felt like she cared about my hair health and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the decision. I had consulted a few other locticians before her and while I am sure they are all talented, I did not get the same vibe. Connie did my install, and even when my hair was extremely annoying (my words, not hers) and as stubborn as my personality, she stayed patient, kind, and encouraging. There were moments when I had no idea where my hair was headed, and she helped me trust the process. Around the 1.5 year mark, my hair finally decided to cooperate and I couldn’t be happier. My only regret is not starting my loc journey sooner. I am so thankful I did and that Connie has been there every step of the way. I’ve also had my hair retied by other stylists at the salon on occasion (Autumn, Muni, Kris, and others), and everyone there is wonderful. The energy in the salon is always positive and welcoming, and it is genuinely a good time every visit. I’ve told Connie she’s not allowed to stop doing locs because I truly don’t know what I would do. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Highly, highly recommend.

Everyone tells you to support black women owned businesses. As a black woman, I take the message seriously and believe in it. After interviewing Connie and sharing photos of my hair, I did not hear back. Her silence was notable to me because it contrasted the kind of care and professionalism mentioned on the IG and website. For black women with sensitive conditions and concerns for gentleness, responsiveness and follow through are not a luxury; it’s a part of ethical service. When a business names specialization in sisterlocs, microlocs, and natural hair it creates the impression that all clients are welcome. So while being a black woman owned business is important, representation only goes so far without inclusion and accountability. I pray other clients receive greater care as a result of this review.

I have no complaints, clean environment great service. Every loc tech has different prices.

This shop is professional, timely, clean and just peaceful. The staff Autumn, Jennifer and Ms. Connie are true jewels. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to start their journey or if you want a change.

I called Connie for a friend, and she could not help us for various reasons, but very kindly referred us to someone who COULD! I was very grateful to her for taking the time to help a person out. We need more of that effortless compassion in our world.♥️

Denisha is my Sisterlocks loctician who began my journey and has guided and groomed me for almost two years. Best decision I have made concerning my hair. It is beautiful every day and so easy. Ms. Connie is amazing also.
