Chkocc Braids

Great person to be around. But unfortunately I had to take my braids down the next day. I was in far too much pain with the tightness. Now I very well knew I was quite tender headed to begin with. But I couldn't sleep any move I made it hurt like hell no matter which position I tried. This is the 4th time I had braids done and 3 out of those times I had irritation issues. (She only did my hair once) I've always used the same hair. Perhaps maybe braids just aren't for me I guess. She will unbraid certain sections and redo them if you ask which I'm glad I wasn't bullied for. I salvaged the look and just twisted my natural hair into the triangle parts. I do enjoy that the braids she put in didn't feel heavy AT ALL which I definitely did like. But despite oiling, scalp massaging, steaming, soaking, using aftershave even and numbing spray and excedrin. I didn't get any relief. It felt like my adhd was braided to my scalp that's not the type of HD definition I want on my head lmao. The pricing is good. I'd be more upset if I paid 200 and up for what I got. Due to scalp issues I will not be getting extensions anymore in general in my lifetime for who knows how long. BUT hey she said takedown was gonna be fast and easy and it most definitely was. You shouldn't feel a "heartbeat" in your head and hurt to turn your head or to find a sleeping position. Booking process was easy. Take down was easy She was respectful and on time. Have your own edge control in deck JUST IN CASE (I forget things to) Fair pricing Braid time is phenomenal speed is unmatched. And she taught me how to wrap up my hair correctly at night which I will always appreciate. Just if you're QUITE tender headed I don't think it's the best choice. I wouldn't mind rebooking to simply have her part my hair in triangles though. Because I'm bad at that. (if she'll allow it always ask.)

I’ve been looking for someone to do my hair for months and am so glad I was able to come across this place!! It was a peaceful environment, and very professional! Booking was fast and easy as well. I also adore the way my hair turned out! One of the best set of braids I’ve ever had hands down. I will DEFINITELY BE RUNNING BACK when it’s time to get my hair redone this summer!!!!

Ms. Chkocc is amazingly creative. I received triangular boxed braids. I am in love with my hair. She created a comfortable atmosphere for me today. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for braids in SoCal. Check out her work, she’s the best!!!

Super dope low key environment that allows for honest and open communication. I felt like a cousin rather than a client and that comfort is hard to find especially during times like this where everyone is met with an outstretched arm. Very professional as well and I will be making future appointments. With miss chocolate you will be in great hands and so will you hair.

If you're looking for a professional meticulous braider then you've found the right spot. When I got my hair braided I was very comfortable and my hair turned out amazing. I will definitely be back. Did I mention she's a fast precise braider?? Well worth every penny and her prices are very reasonable.

I was super excited about how fast I was going to be seen and the price however I drove from hemit to my moms in riverside to drop of my kids just to drive all the way back and be told "today is not a good day sorry for the late response" I was also told to come back at 4 as if I didn’t jump hoops to get there the first time. It’s completely unprofessional. Definitely not contacting again.
