I'm going to school here and absolutely love it!!! If you are considering going to cosmetology school, do it! Here is some of my work! I'm currently in school until June 2026! Ask for Clara Higgins 💜🐝

I hate to give this place less than five stars, but I am only doing so thanks to a terrible experience I had yesterday with an instructor. I didn't get her name, but she looks like Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada and acts like her, too. My daughter and I have been coming here for years and have loved this place because of the prices and the girls work so hard. I recommend it to anyone. However, I went in yesterday and got a trim. This instructor came to do my close and made some inappropriate comments about me and my hair. She asked some invasive questions about my health. She asked when the last time I got a trim was and said she'd never seen anything "as bad" as my hair before. She asked if I'd ever been to a doctor because she thought my hair was falling out so much. She asked if I had health concerns like cancer or if I was pregnant. These questions were very offensive for more reasons than one as they were asked rudely and I had a family history of cancer and a personal history of miscarriages. I will be back, because the girls here do such a great job. But I will always request another instructor if they get her.

Clara H. at Intellitech Cosmetology School is absolutely amazing! She’s patient, understanding, and really listens to make sure you get exactly what you’re asking for. She’s great at what she does — especially with hair cutting and coloring — and always pays attention to detail. On top of that, Clara also offers facials, pedicures, and manicures, and she puts the same care and professionalism into those too. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients. Highly recommend booking with her — you won’t be disappointed!

DO NOT GO HERE!! I was very kind the whole time, because I understand my stylist was learning, she was not the issue. It was the head professor(Mrs. G). She was rushing the service the whole time. Told me they couldn't finish and I needed to come back another day, even though they were halfway through my service. Grabbed my credit card out of my phone to pay me out while I was actively getting my hair washed in the back, and overall she was just so inconsiderate and rude! They made me leave with wet/unbrushed hair all because they were in a hurry(Mrs. G). I felt like such an inconvenience the whole time I was there. Don't go.

The whole experience was definitely interesting. This was my first time going to a college salon, and it wasn't really what I was expecting. I asked for a trim and layers with face framing and it took almost 2 hours. I was very tired by the end of the appointment. There was only one instructor on the floor, and the woman cutting my hair had to get each step checked and approved by the instructor, which was partly why it took longer than expected. Also one thing I did not enjoy was the smell, it smelled like really bad BO or like a boys locker room. That part was not very pleasant.

I went in for a highlight and Justice was the student that worked with me. I’m getting married soon and she worked thoroughly to make sure everything was perfect!! She was fun to talk to and confident, which is great to see in students. Her supervisor was great too. She didn’t get a single drop of water on me when in the shampoo bowl, and my hair is BEAUTIFUL!! I plan on going to see Justice for toners, brows, and highlights in the future, and wherever she moves to after graduation. It’s clear she loves what she does, and the school and supervisors have done a phenomenal job and letting her talent shine.

I went in for a hair TRIM, and my stylist cut off way more than the amount I asked for. I had asked for an inch of my hair and she cut way more than that. Before and after photos of what was cut (I asked for an inch). I have been growing my hair out for 2 years and have now lost a lot of my progress. My stylist also itched her head with the scissors she was using to cut my hair. Although she sanitized them after it was still odd. I will not be coming back and do not recommend unless you have someone with you to watch what your stylist is doing. Hoping my hair grows back quickly.
