In the state of Maryland, I understand you do not have to be licensed to Braid Hair, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be professional. I booked an appointment over a month ago for tribal braids, Mid back, Extra boho with Talia or tahtah. Prior to me booking this appointment I sent her a picture on Instagram asking if she’s able to do the style exactly and she replied "Yes I am." On her site, it states all knotless styles go to mid back unless stated otherwise. When I arrived at my appointment, I showed her the hair. I also showed her the style again And she said it was fine. The front of my hair turned out great no complaints, but the back went to my shoulders, NOT MID BACK and the boho pieces were stretched very thin, With the top of the Boho pieces still sticking out. I brought plenty of hair. (Especially with her only doing half my head as BoHo). We started at 2PM, And got done around 5:30pm, now this appointment was definitely rushed because her and her friend had to go out afterwards and celebrate her friend’s birthday. If the appointment would’ve went till 7PM that would’ve been the Time it took for the length requested and the extra boho. I left saying that Hair was fine because I couldn’t see the pieces in the back until I got home. I did notice the length but at that point there was no point and saying anything Because she was rushing to go out with her friend anyway. When I messaged her on Instagram, she had then blocked me and claims her personal life doesn’t interfere with her work, but that was not the case. In the pictures below, you’ll see first of all the uneven Boho pieces which she could have cut, You’ll see the length goes to my shoulders only, And you’ll see That it is not extra Boho like request requested. I am new to the state and unfortunately, I will not be booking with the salon Ever again.

I been getting my hair braided here for years. I always get good service and receive compliments on my hair. This week I was even able to get a last minute appointment online at a time when I REALLY needed it. Highly recommend as I get my braids done here frequently.

let me start off by saying everyone that works at this hair salon does good work from hair , nails , make up , hair cuts all of them. Yes some is licensed and some is not , that’s where growth comes in and most people don’t see that , yes they going make mistakes but when they do as a client it’s your job to tell them where they made the mistake at INPERSON so they can fix it AT THAT MOMENT . If your bold enough to put a negative comment under someone business that works hard everyday , comes on time for there clients EVEN WHEN THERE CLIENT IS LATE , goes out there way to get the hair for there clients so they won’t buy the wrong hair or even better so the client won’t have to go out THERE way and get the hair then you should be bold enough to mention when something is wrong with your maintenance. ALSO , it’s not called " RUSHING " when the parts are completely fine , its called she braids fast and gets you out the chair faster so she can get more clients in one day! If you wanted the hair longer get more hair next time , you wanted more boho get more boho next time or EVEN BETTER let the braider provide the hair like they normally do. Lastly, if you complained this much then learn how your own hair and see if you do it as good as these ladies. Thank you ❤️

I love queendom creations. The owner Shawntay is professional and punctual. She always recreates the style I ask for. I have returned several times braiding styles and will be a continued customer.

Shawntay, the owner, is a TOP TIER stylist, consultant and adviser. I use these words as she's not only a great listener & advice-giver for hair problems and solutions, but she has a very open, personable demeanor that allows for great conversation. I've been a loyal client for 2.5 years. It would've been even longer, but I am fairly new to Maryland and "just" found her soon after. I literally get stopped at least once per week with inquiries & compliments about my hair (which are goddess crochet braids). I realize I cannot "selfishly" keep Shawntay to myself/my hair (lol), so I gladly write this public review! For women, our hair is our CROWN! Queendom Creations helps keep your crown sitting pretty!

The service was excellent! The environment and shop was clean and they even offered snacks, drinks, and entertainment!
