Went to the stage for a sew in, Hollywood did amazing!!!!!! She was soooooooooo patient with me because I’m so annoyingly tender headed lol😂! She was so accommodating and sweet, she even bought me a snack 😂I can’t praise her enough, so happy I found her!!! My hair looks gorg, constant compliments, peeps think it’s my hair lol 😜 Don’t hesitate book the appointment!!!!!💯

Amazing experience!! Hollywood did an amazing job on my treatment, trim and blowout!! My hair was so damaged from not having it trimmed for 2 years but she fixed it and now my hair feels so much better and healthier!! I would definitely recommend to anyone! I will be back soon!

Hollywood is the best of the best! I would travel to have her do my hair. She is a true professional. Her shop is always beautiful and clean, and she always does an amazing job with my braids. She is responsive snd easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend her services if you are in or around Gastonia.

I refuse to fight small battles with petty people but I would be remiss if I did not share my experience with Hollywood Johnson. She is not only petty but unprofessional as well. From the very beginning, her behavior was unacceptable. Prior to her even doing my hair she was short in communication & not helpful with my questions which should’ve been an indicator to the issues later on to come. The day of my appt I rushed to get there on time (all the way to Gastonia) just to learn she was running behind. I never received any notifications informing me either! She was two hours late starting! Not only did I rush to the appt, but I’d have to sit out in a parking lot with nothing around but woods (as the dark sky was approaching). The salon is not a place you could sit & wait comfortably. And to add insult to injury, I never even received an apology. Once I got inside, I was greeted with a cold welcome (keep in mind, this is my first time there). From the moment she saw me, she had an attitude. But I guess because of my kindness & understanding she then felt comfortable giving me a compliment. She told me I looked like Paula Patton (that was a compliment in my eyes). Maybe that was her way of apologizing. Who knows. But what I do know is, what happened next, was mind-boggling. She realized she couldn’t do the style I had requested prior to coming! Had she taken the time to address all my questions & concerns, we wouldn’t have been in that pickle! She told me my natural hair was too long. How frustrating. At that point, all we could do is improvise. Can you guess what happened next!? She then realized she ran out of hair (after telling me she provides the braiding hair)! I can’t make this stuff up…even if I tried! It resulted in her having to cut super long braiding hair in half. If I wasn’t flying out that next day, I would’ve just put her in her place and left! Let’s fast forward to the completion of my hair. Once she was done, it was very late. In that very moment, all I had on my mind, was getting some SLEEP. I was exhausted! But the truth is, I had some concerns; from the way she did my hair (THE HUMAN HAIR I HAD PROVIDED WAS SLIPPING OUT FROM THE BRAIDS!), the increased price change for a hairstyle that ended up being easier & faster to complete, and me having to wait all that time before starting without providing any prior notification to me, etc. I kept those concerns to myself & decided to sleep on it. That night, not only did I tip her but I even stayed with her until she locked up the salon & got inside her car safely. Those are the actions of a good person. I’m proud of that. Eventually I did send her a text expressing my concerns. She actually apologized & agreed to do my hair at a discounted rate next time. I decided to give her another opportunity so I messaged her about 3 weeks later to set up that next appt. I got ignored. I texted her again as a follow-up & got ignored again! I finally decided to just call. You can tell I caught her off guard when she answered. She was in the middle of doing hair. After learning it was me, she sounded embarrassed to say the least. She knew she had been ignoring me intentionally. During that call, an appt was scheduled but can you believe she ended up canceling the appt that very same day! SMH. She texted me saying she was cancelling my appt because she decided she didn’t want to service me anymore. She even blocked me. The audacity of her! After all I had endured, after all my understanding…that’s how I got treated! UNACCEPTABLE. Any time I interacted with her, it was always kind & professional hence why she offered a discount for the next services which was the ONLY reason I decided to go back. The cancellation happened after I asked her a hair question & she told me to Google my question. I was taken by that response so I followed up letting her know all I wanted was some professional advice to my question. The truth is she blocked me because she was corrected for her BRASHNESS! After this experience, I was reminded why I need to stick with the true professionals.

I haven’t lived in this town long so felt like I was talking a chance booking an appointment here instead of w a stylist from Charlotte that I knew & I am SO GLAD I did. Hollywood was EXCEPTIONAL, my hair looked even BETTER than the reference pics I sent her, I am so pleased!! Salon was clean bright & easy to find, and she was super professional AND personable (huge factor for me), so the braiding time went by rly fast! Not to mention her work… I was in the mirror playin & slayin for SO LONG after I got home lol, my braids rly look SO GOOD. Will definitely be booking again & recommending to everyone!!
