Floyd's 99 Barbershop

Disappointed with my experience today. I’ve been a long time customer of Floyd’s (and generally happy with my experiences), typically at the Harmony location, but I needed something last minute and was hoping for more consistency across the board. The stylist, Bryan, had an AirPod in the entire cut, and the atmosphere was quite awkward. I can understand working with someone new being awkward to start, but there wasn’t even an attempt to make things less awkward or get to know me. He asked what I wanted done, and I mentioned I usually have my sides cut at a 2 with a fade into longer hair up top. He then spent at least 2 or 3 minutes looking for the correct length blades which was not inspiring. He then cut my sides to a 4 and asked if I liked it, I said I needed it shorter. I think he went to a 3 because usually my hair is much shorter on the sides. The line up job by my neck and ears is mismatched, and there are stray hairs here and there. I also came in with product in my hair from work, and Bryan made little attempt to remove the product from my hair before cutting it. He also didn’t use a razor blade finish on my neck. Lastly, I had booked a Floyds Cut and a shampoo, and I was not even offered the shampoo. The whole experience lasted approximately 20 minutes, minus the first few minutes being spent on Bryan finding the appropriate tools. So the cut itself last 17 minutes, at most. Clearly rushed, and clearly a lack of care for customer satisfaction or comfortability. Next time I will just do a better job of planning ahead and scheduling with my regulars at the Harmony location.

We’ve (my teenage son and I) been fans of Floyd’s 99 Barbershop for 15 years. Our favorite stylist was Kelly and she cut our hair at this awesome Northern Colorado location and more specifically Fort Collins, Colorado location. Unfortunately, Kelly moved out of state and we miss her but now we have Moises cutting our hair and he’s awesome! He’s a true hairstylist and takes his time on every cut. It’s very apparent that he takes pride in his craft and he’s dang good at it. He’s also not easy to get an appointment with so make sure and call ahead at least a week so you can get in for a fresh haircut. The vibe in here is always super fun with great music, two TVs, and a sweet wall mural plastered with musicians from every type of music imaginable. Location is great and basically on the Colorado State University campus and more specifically campus west.

Can’t believe I have to make this edit. Don’t believe the reply below this - they 100% have a sticker at the front desk advertising a discount in exchange for positive reviews. Happy to go take a picture if necessary Worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life. I walked in with plenty of length to work with and a few very clear images of my own hair a year ago. I walked out with something wildly different - a ski slope Mohawk that is completely unsalvageable because the front is way shorter than the front and they took off way more than I showed them. The whole butchery took maybe 15 minutes, I’ve never had someone care less about the goal or outcome for a haircut. I told this story to the chef at the place I ate lunch afterwards and heard that my experience is not unique. Stay away from this place if you care at all about looking normal for the next 3 months. Oh, btw, this place only has good reviews because they offer a discount on your cut if you show them a positive review you posted

Been a loyal client at the Floyds on Elizabeth in Fort Collins for years now, Victoria W. has been my go to the entire time, she is awesome & the staff have been great! Highly recommended!!

Ella is a kick ass barber. So talented at her craft. Will 100% be recommending her to everyone and if you’re on the fence, know you’re safe in her hands.

Worst haircut of my life, went in for a trim and a low fade and Cas decided to do her own thing. $50 down the drain and an uneven toddlers haircut for the next two months

I've had my beard trimmed and my head shaved by 3 different barbers at this location and everyone of them was excellent, each took the time to meticulously trim my beard. My experiences at many barbers shops pale in comparison to the skill, and attention to detail I receive at Floyd's 99. All of the barbers who have taken care of me were also very personable, I will be returning to thisocation this location as often as I can. Thank ladies and gents!
