Bri is hands down the best loctician in the 757. She’s professional, sweet, and incredibly knowledgeable about her craft. Her space is always welcoming, and I recommend her to everyone I know. Truly a beautiful talent with an even more beautiful soul.

I tried to give this salon another chance after the multiple reschedules and cancelations made by them earlier this year. Today took the cake. I booked an appointment at 6:39Am for 1:55PM. Show up early at 1:20PM to find out not only is my stylist not there but the one who was there was leaving and directed me to wait in the mall. Walked to Dillard's and back and the gate was down. It's now about 1:40pm so I sit and wait. I called at 1:55PM only to be told, "She should be on her way It's only 1:56." SMH. At 2:10PM I was told that the stylist couldn't be reached and that this is not her only job. Not my problem because those times shouldn't be available if the stylist is not. Also there was a big enough gap of time to notify me of any changes to the appointment. I'm very disappointed a d will not be returning nor send any recommendations.

I feel it’s important to share my actual experience since I wasn’t comfortable being honest at the time the stylist was standing over my shoulder as I left a review, so I just gave 5 stars and left. This is my REAL REVIEW…I was offered an earlier time, which I appreciated since I was getting both a retwist and color. We had discussed my desired hair color ahead of time, and I sent reference photos. However, the two color options she sent back didn’t match what I asked for. To me, a mix of the two might’ve worked perfectly, but she didn’t recommend mixing them and as the professional, I expected her to guide me on how we could achieve the look.I didn’t feel confident that she could achieve the color I wanted, so I told her to skip the color and just do the retwist. When I arrived at Greenbriar Mall, it was very unclear where her salon was located. I texted her 15 minutes before my appointment to ask for directions, and when I called closer to time, she answered sounding visibly annoyed. That alone almost made me cancel, but I really needed my hair done. She arrived at exactly 5:30 (my appointment time) and opened the salon. When I walked in, she didn’t greet me just directed me to the last shampoo bowl. The energy was off from the moment I sat down, it felt tense and uncomfortable, like walking into someone’s bad mood. The wash was not only extremely rough but rushed(I’m not exaggerating I timed it and suds were visibly still in my hair) I’m not tender-headed, but I was just waiting for the appointment to be over. To make things worse, another client arrived for a 6 PM appointment while I was still being worked on. She told that client to come back at 6:10, but she didn’t finish my hair until almost 6:30 which made the whole situation feel disorganized and overbooked. Overall, this was the most uncomfortable salon experience I’ve ever had. Maybe she was having a bad day, but as someone who works in a customer facing profession, I know how important it is to still show up and give your best to clients even on tough days. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I was going to be a first time client, but this changed due to Nicole rescheduling repeatedly. My original appointment was for Sunday, September 28th at 12 pm, but she texted me that Thursday, September 25th in the afternoon asking if it was ok if I came in on Saturday, September 27th at 11:30 am, cool, I agreed. The Saturday morning of my appointment (September 27th) at 7:48 am she texted me asking if I can come in earlier. I didn’t respond to the text due to my phone being on DND. She later called at 8:42 am and I picked up, after going back in forth on the times, she tried to lock me in at 11 am. I didn’t care for how she came off during our conversation and I decided to cancel. I asked could I get a refund for my deposit and she said no. She wasn’t mindful of the fact I scheduled the time and day for a reason during her regular scheduled hours of operation. I already made sacrifices to not only be accommodating to her by agreeing to a new time, but a whole new day entirely. She wasn’t respectful of my time as she wanted me to be respectful to hers, as she stated, "I’m trying to close in some of my gaps." As a first time client at your shop I would expect the courtesy of returning my deposit considering our first interactions with each other, and to show good will that you value me as a potential long term client. Instead, she decided that the deposit funds, a bad first impression/review, and the loss of a customer was worth more than her potential earnings. With this experience of her unprofessional behavior I’m no longer comfortable with her doing anything concerning my hair.

I had an amazing experience today w/ nicole i Love my hair. She was quick, laidback (which worked perfect cause im usually quiet lol) yet she was attentive to making sure it was to my liking. Even with not having burgundy color i wanted the one she suggested/had came out even better. Everyone was kind & chill. Will be returning & going here for hair services here on out. (& mybad for smiling randomly at you lmfao i just be happy🤣)

I had a great experience at this S.A.G.E shop! The stylist was friendly, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable about locs. My appointment was quick and efficient, but never felt rushed. I appreciated how neat and clean my hair turned out—it looked amazing. Definitely coming back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality loc care!

Unprofessional. I’m traveling 1hr to get to my 11am appointment on time and barely 45 minutes before my appointment they don’t reach out. They just sent a notification saying that my appointment been pushed back to 1 PM as if people don’t have nothing else to do with their day. I will be watching to make sure that my deposit is back in my bank account or else I will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau - I refuse to argue with someone about a refund.
