I recently had a Japanese hair straightening treatment done by Stephanie Rider, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and truly great at what she does. Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of me and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process and after care. My daughter and I both saw her, and we were thrilled with how our hair turned out. The transformation is amazing—just check out my before and after photos! Stephanie was great! She knew what she was doing with my Japanese hair straightening and I felt confident in the process. She took her time with my hair and made sure she took care of the blonde that I already had. I am 3 days in from the treatment and my hair still looks as though I came out fresh from the salon. I wanted to express my concerns regarding my recent experience with Stephanie. My appointment was canceled three times, all by Stephanie. While I understand that I initially booked an early morning slot (10:00 AM), the cancellations were quite last-minute: The first cancellation came just two hours before the appointment time. The second was three hours prior—at which point I was already 30 minutes into my drive. The third cancellation happened only an hour before the appointment, and I was just 20 minutes away at that point. Stephanie kindly offered a $50 discount following the second cancellation. During our phone conversation after the third cancellation, she stated she would offer a full refund if I decided to cancel. Initially, I agreed to reschedule, but after discussing it with my husband, I contacted her via text just two hours later to cancel. She then informed me that, per her policy, refunds are not issued—but as a gesture of goodwill, she would refund $50. It’s also worth mentioning that I paid a $100 deposit, even though her website states a $50 deposit requirement. Lastly, I was surprised by the quoted price for the Japanese perm—$700. For comparison, I previously paid $500 for the same service in Washington State, which is generally considered to have a high cost of living. I have since found another salon offering the same service, including a haircut, at half the price.

STEPHANIE IS AMAZING. Such a beautifully radiant woman inside and out. I went in to get a Japanese hair straightening treatment and I was so nervous as I have never done something that could be considered intense for the hair. She answered all of my questions beforehand, helped to prepare me before and after, talked to me the entire time she did this long process. Just so patient and fun to talk to. Made sure to give me exactly what I pictured and desired from the treatment to my haircut. The experience was better than I could have hoped for and I will continue to go to her and FULLY recommend her to anyone else looking for a new hairdresser or for someone who specializes in the Japanese treatment. ( last little note, I had my hair cut in layers a while ago from someone else when it was just supposed to be a trim so Stephanie fixed the cut for me to where now its even and I couldn’t be happier:) ) the photos are before and after

I am beyond happy with the results of my permanent hair straightening treatment! Stephanie is so knowledgeable about what she does and fully explained the process beforehand which made me feel much more comfortable. She even took the time to help me with products and recommendations before I even came into the salon. My hair turned out better than I imagined was possible and has given me so much confidence back with my hair. I would 100% recommend trusting stephanie for your hair straightening!
