Let me start by saying I have not been inside an Ulta in years. I went to get concealer, because my MAC stash finally ran out and I wanted to try NARS. I asked an employee if she could help with color matching and she simply said "No, I'm sorry" and went back to her task, which I took to mean that was not her expertise. Before I could ask for clarity, Tiijonnae approached me and offered help. She took me around and let me sample the brand I came to check out and recommended two comparable ones as well all while navigating questions from other customers and staff. She was so sweet and polite, and made the experience so worthwhile.

There were at least 4-5 employees on the floor standing in a circle talking to each other…not assisting any customers or walking the floor to see if anyone needed assistance. I couldn’t find a product so I asked for help and was told that they didn’t sell it after showing a picture on my phone and pulling the item up online where it said it was in stock in store. After 20 minutes of searching on my own, I found a shelf full of the item towards the back corner of the store. The associate that told me they didn’t sell the item and the store manager that I reported my experience to didn’t seem to care that it took me 20 minutes to find it after being told they didn’t carry it. I suggest shopping at a different location.

Very LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive, made me feel very welcome. When I walked in, I set a max budget of $200, but was also prepared to only buy wingtip eyeliner. Just depending on how the experience of shopping-while-trans went, y'know? The first associate I saw (Taylor), greeted me with enthusiasm, and was just a huge help, very upbeat, and kind. You could tell she was happy to be at work. I think she gave me, maybe 30 minutes of her time, which is so far beyond my expectations, and tremendously helpful. There was good effort on her part to understand my aesthetic, and exactly the right amount of steering towards her tried-and-true favorites. It was a great experience, and the time dedicated to customer support turned a quick errand for eyeliner into a really fun makeup haul. Taylor, you rock. Ulta, you rock. I will be back for a second haul, and I'll be recommending the Brentwood Ulta to any LGBTQ+ friends who need an inclusive space to shop.

Came in for a few things and Callie and Carolyn went above and beyond. They were so positive and helpful. Made our girls’ night extra fun. Thank you ladies for a great shopping experience.

Sade spent time helping me find the right foundation and concealer for my skin. She was very knowledgeable and took time to explain why she was picking certain foundations and formulas in a nonjudgmental way. I left the store feeling confident. I would go back to this Ulta to get more recommendations from Sade in the future.

Do better with your customer service. First time at this location. I wasn't greeted and when I did ask for help, got an employee with an attitude. I planned on buying a couple things, but decided to walk out. So disappointed 😞.

I stopped going here due to consistently rude experiences with cashiers and poor experiences at the salon. The only way the salon is worth it is if you’re on a budget but really want to get your hair done because you earn a lot of points from paying for salon services, which you can then apply to purchases at Ulta. But the terrible things I had done to my hair while I was a client there and bad experiences on several occasions just trying to check out have made me never come back.
