Salon Sabiha

I always feel fresh and satisfied when I leave the salon. I have been coming here since 2018 and always felt great leaving. Kelly takes her time, sculpting and perfecting the haircut/style until you are happy. Her husband, Jerry, is great as well. Seriously though, it's a great environment and they're kind. They are also looking for help. Any young aspiring hairstylist?

In 2023 my partner got his hair cut there. He chose the spot based on the reviews. When he was almost done with his haircut, I went to meet him at the salon and was very surprised his hair was barely cut short (1in off instead of 4in off like he originally told me he was going to do). His hair was styled in a way that I would have never imaged on him. His hair was straight and swept to the side sort of like a bowl cut when his natural hair is wavy. I believe it was Jerry who was cutting his hair. As soon as I got there Jerry immediately stated how stylish he is making my partner look and how good the haircut was. The only other person in the salon, whom I believe was the owner, backed up Jerry's comment with her own compliment. They seemed very pushy about how good the haircut looked to them. I remember being so surprised by the haircut that I was kind of speechless. I immediately thought it looked terrible but the pouring of positive compliments really threw me off my train of thought. We were in a bit of a hurry so we paid and left. A day later, we realized my partner paid about $80 (before taxes and tips) at this salon for his hair to look about the same as before he got it cut. He said he was persuaded by Jerry into leaving it long and regret his decision. He had zero interest in ever go back to this salon to try to fix it. He ended up going to Floyd's to get his hair actually cut to how he wanted. On top of that, the cashier (whom I believe was the owner) miscounted the change and kept an extra $5. These people are nice enough, but hell no to ever returning.

Salon Sabiha is absolutely one of the best salons I've ever been to. It's in a great spot in Boulder, easy to get to, plenty of parking, and inside the salon itself is just lovely. I've been going to Kelly for years now to cut my hair, and she is the best! She is so skilled, and honestly, she is an artist. She and Jerry are two of friendliest and most positive people I know. If you're looking for a place to get a haircut, coloring, or whatever else you need, definitely go to Salon Sabiha!

Kelly and Jerry are both incredibly talented, and I’m so grateful to have found them. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Kelly takes her time to make sure that I have exactly what I need and I’m pleased with my hairbefore leaving. What I love most about getting my hair done with Kelly, is that she has a sharp vision and incredible creativity. I can go in there, tell her some loose idea of what I see for my hair, and just let her run with it. She is creative, talented, intuitive, and I trust her implicitly with my hair. Every time I walk into the salon, I watch both Jerry and Kelly, with their clients and their artistic creations. They are so skilled at what they do, highly professional in their interactions, and it’s a pleasure to see people doing exactly what they were made to do!

I feel moved to write my own review in response to the review below, as I absolutely love love love Salon Sabiha! Prior to finding Kelly at Salon Sabiha, I had tried several different stylists and salons in Boulder over the years. Kelly is, by far, my favorite. I’ve been going to her every-other-month for the past few years now, and I consistently receive compliments about my hair. (This has made a big difference to me, as I used to feel pretty self-conscious about my hair. Now I have confidence in knowing that my hair looks good!) I am so grateful to Kelly for her good work. She is like a hair styling magician! I always enjoy my time at the salon. Kelly has such a warm, authentic personality, and I love how I get to cozy up with a cup of peppermint tea (and a fuzzy blanket if I want one) as she does my hair and maintains a happy banter with her husband, Jerry, and their colleague, Robert (each of whom are also wonderful stylists). I routinely buy my hair products (Aveda!) from Salon Sabiha — they are high-quality products that make my hair look and feel great, and they smell terrific too. I find the review below to be mean and utterly unfounded. I just tapped on the name of the author of that review and saw that she has been making a habit of leaving 1 star reviews for businesses all around Boulder. Yikes!

Salon Sabiha is excellent. I’ve gotten my hair cut here twice and have loved my experience both times. Kelly cuts my hair and does a great job—highly recommend her. Not to mention the fact that the products, style, and overall service from all are incredible. Kelly takes great care to put her heart into every cut - and you can feel it. Could not endorse this salon more!

I’ve had a few bad haircuts from Floyd’s when I first moved out here, and my last haircut was at a Walmart three years ago… It was finally time to do something about it. Jerry did a great job working with what I had going on and I left there feeling great. Kelly and Jerry were very welcoming and accommodating. I got especially lucky because I did not have an appointment, but there was an availability with a short wait. I will be back sooner than three years this time for sure. 😉 Thank you!!
