Kim Hooks Hair Design

Went to Kim for a color correction. Have super dark brown hair that has been dyed for years, with a few different layers of color including grey. Kim was able to blend all the different layers and get me lighter blonde than I ever thought was possible, without damage or breakage.

Kim colored my hair and did highlights last September. I waited a year to write this review because that's how long it has taken to get my hair looking good again. The color she did was so bad color correction wasn't an option. I had to cut 5 inches off of my hair , IE large hair cuts several times and start over again. She said she has 30 years experience. She doesn't know what she's doing. It was the worst hair experience of my life.

Kim always takes care of her clients! I love coming to see her work her magic on my tresses. I always leave happy with the results, have a good time and receive awesome usuable tips to style my hair. She takes your hair type, skin tone and hair goals in mind with every visit. I regularly visit her to keep my hair looking great, especially since my hair has some greys and also blonde highlights/balayage (no to brassy hair!). My hair is quite thin and difficult to color (turns orangey/brassy) so I read her reviews and seen previous photos before committing. Hoping this will help someone else as well. The salon is clean, organized, friendly staff, has valet parking and there is a lot of natural light. Natural light is important to ensure your hair color looks great in any lighting, in my opinion. Her chair is quite comfortable. I first found Kim as she helped me with my out of control post pandemic hair 😅 She brought my dull hair back to life! I received many compliments on my hair, thanks to Kim! We recently transitioned my summer hair to a softer warm/fall look. She is a true artist when it comes to hair and adore her genuine loving personality.
