This was my first time coming to Mrs. Kathy, and she was absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable right away and paid so much attention to detail. My nails came out perfect, and you can tell she really cares about her work and her clients. I’m so glad I chose her, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience here. I was seen right away. I got the Pearl Pedicure. Was so worth it. I happened to be driving through the town and was in need of a pedicure due to my toenail being in grown. So I looked up the best pedicure spots in Baton Rouge. They were top rated. I am so glad I came in. The nail technician took great care of me and was able to help me and relieve the pain I was in. Not only was she helpful but she was so nice and told me some advice that I may need to get the pedicures every 3 week due to the way my nail grows to prevent the ingrown. The pedicure was great. Cuticles trimmed. Nails shaped and just overall a great experience. The nail salon was clean as well. I suggest checking this place out.

I've been a long time patron of Vera Nail Spa and I definitely recommend it. I normally come for a pedicure with gel but every so often I get my eyebrows tinted and a lip wax. Definitely request Mary and Andy when you come! They do the best work here.

I gave a two star because the salon itself is nice in appearance. I worked with Andy who was very busy and not only doing my nails, but answering phones, booking appts, helping other nail techs etc. He was extremely busy and unfortunately didn’t give me the care or time to my nails that I needed And paid for. My middle finger was injured at the appt and cut deeply exposing the tissue due to excess nail filing and not looking while doing the job. My nails were also uneven, warped, over filed, bubbled in texture on the dip, and he was very aggressive with turning my fingers and hand. At one point he turned my hand a complete 180 causing a lot of pain, which he ignored. He did not allow me to wash my hands in between, only at the very end, then took payment and sent me on my way. I didn’t even have time to inspect my nails. Upon leaving my finger was burning in which one I pulled over safely off the high way within 5 minutes of leaving and I saw the injury caused. I called him immediately to inform him and I took a picture at a stop light 2 minutes after leaving the salon, which two pics are posted for reference. Thankfully, I took a video and lots of pictures (all time stamped) as he tried to deny he caused it. I mentioned how I was uncomfortable in the session saying ouch and it hurt, which was ignored, and he continued to be aggressive with my nail care. I honestly would never want to see a male tech after that experience, although I know not all are like this. But the fact he denied what was done, and I didn’t even ask for a refund displays the unprofessionalism at this salon. I could easily take him to court and sued him for medical expenses and the injury as it took nearly a month for my finger to heal and still tender to touch. Although a nice salon in appearance, I would never go back nor recommend it. Also, there was no sanitation of tools in between each client. I saw him put a file tool in his draws without disinfecting it immediately after another tech finished a pedicure and placed it on his desk, which is very unhygienic! I deserve at least a refund and only got an apology after I told him I didn’t come for a refund but to show him in person what he caused and to be careful as I wouldn’t want others to experience that. Just really disappointed and maybe that’s why the prices lower than other salons. Just be careful and inspect your nails prior to leaving Despite them trying to rush you out.

Mrs. Mary is Fantastic!!! I am So very pleased!!!! (… I wasn’t happy with how my manicure turned out from another technician earlier today, it was not as professional looking as it should have been.) Mrs. Mary took care of my concern and was very meticulous and did an excellent job!!! A+/100 W-O-W!!! This was my 1st set of nail tips and she said they would be Beautiful ~ and they are GORGEOUS!!! (10) Stars All the Way!!!! She is my #1 Manicurist from now on!!!! Thank you Mrs. Mary!!!! YOU are AWESOME!! Cynthia Lynn Abner

I picked this salon for a little birthday splurge since the reviews were so promising, but I was pretty let down, especially for $95. The pedicure was just okay. The polish was fine, but they really didn't scrub my feet much at all, which is half the reason I get a pedicure! The manicure was the real issue. The technician started the gel polish so far from my cuticles that it genuinely looks like it's already grown out—and I just got it done. On top of that, the finish isn't smooth; it looks bumpy and uneven. I expected a much higher level of precision and quality for the price.

I’ve been coming to Vera for the past few months and I love it. Recently had my nails done beautifully by two technicians here. Kathy did my nail shape and base color and Mary did the design. I absolutely love it! I highly recommend coming to Vera Nails, the atmosphere is great and all the technicians are welcoming and so kind.
