Pop of Color Asheville

I hired Pop of Color for my wedding and they did an amazing job! I had Jess H. and Jess D. for hair and makeup and they were AMAZING! They brought an amazing energy and were truly amazing at what they do! I only gave 4 stars because I was a bit frustrated in my communications with Melissa-- she forgot details I had told her multiple times and I needed to remind her each time we spoke. She also told me various start times and I had to point out the start time she gave wouldn't give us enough time. She agreed and moved the start time up. I had to ask about final payment/when it was due/how to pay. The process didn't feel very organized and communication was unclear. That being said, the artists were phenomenal and myself and bridesmaids all looked beautiful on wedding day thanks to them!

I loved working with Melissa, Elizabeth, and Elizabeth from Pop of Color! They absolutely nailed my bridal look and completed all hair and makeup for my bridal party (and the MOG and MOB). It was fun having them come to our Airbnb for getting ready as well - leading way to a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Also, want to plug that I HIGHLY recommend the HMU trials if you're a bride - it was SOOOO helpful for my makeup in particular. Worth the investment!

Melissa and her team are just wonderful. We had to postpone our wedding due to Hurricane Helene and I ended up changing how I wanted to do my makeup since we were now having a spring wedding... used this color palette for my bridal portraits and loved it. She and Yulia are so easy to work with and we had such a relaxing morning doing hair and makeup. I can't recommend them enough, and pricing is very reasonable for the area.

I’m so happy we booked Pop of Color for our wedding day! We had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth Hayward for makeup and Elizabeth Roberts for hair. I’m so happy with how everything turned out and how everything stayed looking good throughout the night. The owner Melissa is kind, professional, and communicative, so working with her to set everything up was a breeze. Elizabeth did hair and Jessica did makeup for my wedding and they both were so easy to work with and so fun to be around! They listened to any critique I had from my trial and did such a good job on the wedding day! They both even included my flower girl (3) and made her feel so special. Melissa was easy to contact and plan with. The whole experience was excellent! I don’t have any good pics of my makeup yet, but hair pics for reference!

I cannot recommend this team enough! I hired pop of color for hair and makeup for my wedding, and they were absolutely perfect. They made me and all of my closest people feel and look so beautiful! truly the best glam team I could have ever asked for. They were calm, kind, professional, and incredibly talented. Our hair and makeup held up flawlessly all day and night (even through tears and lots of dancing!), and we got so many compliments. They brought such a fun, relaxed energy to the wedding morning and made the entire experience feel effortless. If you're thinking about hiring them — do it. You won’t regret it!

Melissa and Yulia did a phenomenal job with my hair and make-up for my wedding! They did my bridal hair/make-up, my bridesmaids hair/make-up, make-up for one of my groomsmen, and hair/make-up for the mother of the groom and my mom. Not only was everyone thrilled with their final looks, it was so fun to spend the morning with Melissa and Yulia, they were amazing company. They listened to what everyone wanted and executed their visions perfectly. They made sure everyone felt beautiful and that we stayed on schedule. I did a trial run with them which also went great. Everyone's hair and make-up lasted from the morning until past midnight! Even with fine hair, nothing moved an inch, and was picture perfect after a long night of dancing, some wind, and taking on and off my veil. If you need hair and make-up done in Asheville, look no further!
