When I am in Northern VA, this is my go to place to get my haircut. They do a great job. Issa has been my primary person to cut my hair. They have been gracious and professional to me and I hope I have returned the respect, professionalism and graciousness back. I just get a haircut but it is done with care and looks great.

Issa is by far the best stylist I've ever been to in the country. I have lived elsewhere and found him by chance and convenience near my former workplace-he was the first stylist i went to in Alexandria. No matter what I want to do with my fine/thin hair, he finds a reasonable solution that looks great and gives me a new look and great style, which is NOT easy with my hair. Over the years, he cut my hair short, gave me layers when it was long, and now it's mid length with some nice layers. I love that he can do anything with my few strands of hair and make it look great. After his salon moved and I switched jobs-no longer working in Crystal City, it became difficult for me to get there-so I tried some other salons in the area closer to home. They charged a lot more for a lot less quality. While I certainly appreciate that he is much more affordable, I would pay whatever he charges because he is totally worth it and now realize, even if I have to drive extra miles to get there, it's worth it. No frills, no drama, just an awesome haircut and style every time.

Issa and his team do a great job for a reasonable price! It's quick for a wash, cut, and blow dry and my hair always looks great after a visit. Highly recommended checking out this no frills, yet great service spot for your next haircut!

Buddy was clawing at my scalp and pushing my head around like a rag doll. Another customer came in 30 mins early for their appointment and he started going even faster and even more hastily like he was behind schedule. As if he wasn’t already being rough and frantic enough. I asked him to clean up the edges and he straight up buzzed off a long portion of my hair. That is not what cleaning up the edges means sir. I feel like as a hairdresser you should know that. Luckily my hair grows fast and I am not easily bothered but I will definitely never be coming back.

My friend and I came in for last-minute blow outs as a fun rainy-day activity. We called in advance, and the salon agreed to see both of us. Unfortunately we were not happy with the blowouts. Both of them came out very frizzy. And my friend (the brunette) had curls that were very uneven and sticky. My friend also got lots of water down her back during the hair wash. The stylist did not find my part, and even though I asked for half up, half down, and he agreed to it, at the end of the appointment, he told me to just do it myself at home. I could tell that he was a bit overbooked and wanted me done so that he could get on to the next customer. Everyone was perfectly professional and nice to work with, but we did not find the service to be worth the $55 each.

A delightful and comfortable experience top-to-bottom. And I was there for 3 hours (a haircut and balayage coloring) though it didn’t feel that long. You can tell that the people who work there enjoy what they do and want to make people love their hair. They are very patient and efficient, too, and will answer your questions expertly. During my time I also probably saw more returning customers than new customers, which is always a good sign in my book, especially as this is a small local place. I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to anyone. Update 1/2026: My love of this salon still stands! I went in for a basic trimming and cut, told Issa to just give it a nice shape, and he worked his magic with finesse. (Note: This standard cut was of course not in the 200+ range) I look forward to my next visit!
