If this is the same Kims that was located on Grand River Ave back in the 1970s, THANK YOU! The super discipline you gave me taught me to defend myself for decades. I'm 63 now and remember asking how good the owner Mr.Kim was? I do not know was the reply from a 3rd black instructor, he is so fast, the contest is over in seconds. Yes I remember being instructed with the Bamboo stick! I have been around the planet twice, and lost count of being able to defend and be humble at once. We couldn’t be happier with the training my kids get at TKD. It is tough and hard work. The kids are learning discipline and judgment. This taekwondo is for students who want to train hard. My kids enjoy their classes and feel a sense of accomplishment. They are learning to win and lose with grace and tenacity. This is not recreational taekwondo training. Master Kim is tough and has a history of producing students eligible for college scholarships and even the Olympics.

I am the mother of my two children and my son and daughter were trained in Taekwondo by Master Kim from the age of 5 at Kim's Taekwondo USA (World Taekwondo) and are currently studying at the Korea Military Academy and Yeel University. The taekwondo lessons she received there not only taught her to punch and kick, but she also learned mental education such as patience, perseverance, courtesy, integrity, and indomitable spirit as well as patriotism, love for hometown, and camaraderie. Our children improved their concentration through taekwondo education, and as a result, their academic performance improved. After becoming a black belt, they developed the ability to control themselves more and be considerate of others through leadership training. Master Kim gave students the US President's Award, which helped them enter college. As far as I know, many students who attended Kim's Taekwondo USA (World Taekwondo) have received a lot of help in going to college, and I know that Master Kim's children are also growing into great members of society after graduating from good universities. I love Kim's Taekwondo USA! The owner/instructor, Grand Master Kim, is SO AMAZING! He interacts with ALL the kids so perfectly. Thank you for being such a personal extremely patient "teacher"!! Keep up the great work!
