There is construction around the building as of nov. it gets pretty crowded inside on weekends. Lots of people visiting. The matcha and ube soft serve ice cream is good! Matcha is not too sweet. We liked it. The black sesame matcha latte is a cold foam style. The black sesame taste is very subtle. Good to try but not something id go back for.

Great tasting iced matcha. The plain iced matcha is perfectly sweet. The Ube matcha is sweeter, and more of a dessert item, but still not too sweet

The best matcha I’ve ever had. No other matcha place compares. They have a lot of different flavours and they also have soft serve! Very rich authentic matcha flavour. Definitely recommend this place for some real good matcha!!

This place has amazing Matcha and ube products. There aren't a ton of areas with such a specialty and I am so greatful for my friend showing me this place. There are so many options as well. I decided I would try the Maiko Special and it did not disappoint. I chose the ube ice cream and it came with two mochi balls a macaron layered with ice cream(of your choice) matcha cake and some type of sweet bean and some jelly's at the bottom. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing is I wasn't the biggest fan of getting a whole bean(but that's a me issue). I also loved that they used wooden utensils. I plan to come back to this place!

Premium Matcha Café Maiko in Troy is definitely worth checking out if you’re into sweet treats and flavorful drinks. We stopped in and tried a custard, Oreo, and ube taiyaki — all three for just $8.50, which felt like a great deal. They came out warm and fresh, and each one had its own vibe. The custard was smooth and creamy, the Oreo was super fun with a bit of crunch, and the ube had that rich, nutty sweetness that’s hard to beat. We also grabbed a slice of cheesecake and wow — it was amazing. Super creamy, not too heavy, and just the right amount of sweetness. It really stood out and might have been our favorite part of the visit. The drinks were just as good — full of bold flavors and not overly sweet. Whether you go for something matcha-based or another specialty, there’s something for everyone on the menu. The vibe inside is really chill, with a clean and cozy setup that makes it a nice spot to hang out or take a break. Overall, Maiko delivered on taste, quality, and value. We’ll definitely be back for more taiyaki and cheesecake! P.S. I would highly recommend better quality straws.

I had the matcha vanilla swirl soft serve 🍦it was unique and delicious the contrast between the two flavors made a delectable treat 🍵 The strawberry matcha latte was also very good highly recommend this place 🍓

I'm so obsessed with this place. I don't live in the area so coming here is a treat for me. The quality and consistency of the matcha really lives up to their name. I've tried most of the matcha places in metro Detroit and this place will always be top. And the fact that they have Ube !😭❤️ It's so delicious, it tastes like a cookie! Can't wait to come back.
