Drug Emporium Shreveport

Drug Emporium is easy to get to as it is not located in a congested retail area and it has plenty of parking. The store is always clean and the items for sale are neatly arranged. They have recently upgraded their lighting to a level that older people like me really appreciate. In addition to "normal" drug store items, there are 2-3 aisles of grocery items. There are also jewelry and perfume counters. Their pharmacy is available, but the hours are less than the chain pharmacies. They have a separate section for Vitamins Plus with numerous hard-to-find items, not just vitamins. Originally their prices were well below other stores, but that gap has narrowed in recent years. The staff has always been helpful. The general description says "public restroom". Yes, there is a restroom, but it's in the back store room and not marked. They close at 8 pm which is a little inconvenient, particularly in the summer when it only begins to cool at 8.

Need more people running the fragrance counter. I bought what I wanted on good ol Amazon in your parking lot bc there was one lady working the counter with customers who wanted to smell every bottle they had on the shelf. How can you make fragrance sales with one person? And yall already know this is supposed to be the hot spot to get your fragrances.

So first of all I want to say Im not from Shreveport Im from Houston Tx. Im from where we are very concerned with our health and what we put in our bodies. Second I wannt to say the racism is real in this city. Being that I'm not from here I came to this store with my backpack on because it was recommended to me. Upon my entry is was stereo typed because of my backpack. I was yelled at and followed around the store. At first I was not going to purchase anything but I found some things I have not been able to find since I been here. I went back to spend more money with this company and they had a no backpack sign on the door. People stop putting everyone on a box. I will not be visiting again. This experience just proves my point to stick with black owned businesses.

Was great. The employee who check me out was very nice and polite. She was very friendly. I did not get her name but I do remember what she was wearing a stripe top and light blue jeans. Cash register#1

The first three things I noticed when I walked into this inviting store were the cleanliness and order, the beautiful fragrance that filled the space, and the peaceful atmosphere. The scent was so lovely, I found myself wondering the whole time what it was. Even though some of the grocery and household items were familiar, the way everything was arranged made it feel like I was seeing them for the first time. The shelves were neat, thoughtfully stocked, and there were also so many unique items I haven’t seen in other stores — which definitely makes me want to come back and explore more. And then, I met the staff — so kind and welcoming. It truly felt like I had found a hidden gem. This was my first visit, but it won’t be my last. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to others!

One of my favorite places around, I love vitamin plus for all the healthy stuff at good prices. Drug emporium is just a brat store and the employees are all usually very friendly and helpful.
