Crowne Plaza Charleston Airport - Conv Ctr, an IHG Hotel

We recently celebrated a New Year’s party for our Russian Community at the Crowne Plaza Charleston Hotel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Diane Wagner, the Crowne Meeting Director, and her entire staff were extremely professional, attentive, and easy to work with from start to finish. Our guests came from nearby cities and stayed at the hotel for two - three nights. Everyone was very happy with the location, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, the event space was great, and everything was organized smoothly. Huge thanks to Diane and her team for making our celebration so special. Highly recommend — truly a 5-star experience!

Great experience at the Sweetgrass Porch for my niece 60th BD Dinner 40ppl. Special thanks always to Ms Angie Gibbs & Ms Diane Wagner accommodating. It was a pleasure meeting & working with F&B Manager Mr Trevor Dean. You made it happen in a real way. My favorite server Demetria who is so professional in serving. Thank you also to Ms Shannon for your pleasantness. Have done business with this Crowne Plaza for many years with room block, meeting space, & FB. I highly recommend them for business meeting, reunions, rooms to name a few. They will do you good!!!

The hotel is very close to airport but quiet enough not to hear aeroplane noise . The check in was swift and I was welcomed with a smile . As I arrived late the reception informed me I could order food from the bar .|Which I did and was also allowed to take it to my room . |The room was well appointed and included a coffee pod machine , kettle, fridge and a microwave oven for my convenience. The bed was comfortable and large enough for me too . |Would I stay here again ? |Yes I would it was pleasant and the food ,even though it was take away , was good quality and plentiful.

I stayed here for an event, so not a place I selected. Stay was on, Oct. 8-12, 2025 The common areas are open and look great, lots of places to sit and mingle. Front desk staff was very helpful. The fitness room worked for me, one of the three treadmills had an issue. I told the front desk about it and still 2 days later, same issue. I would have thought they would pull the plug on it and place an out of order sign on it. The room was nice, not much light, really dark at the microwave and coffee pot area. I had to use a flashlight to see how much water to put into the coffee maker with all the lights on in the room. Bathroom was pretty bad. Fixtures where rusting and coming off the wall. Walls where beat up. The whole bathroom needed a remodel. The photo with the lighted rectangles, that is with the room dark and the bathroom light on. Pretty bright if someone is still trying the sleep in the room. The door should have been solid. The bottom wood panel was falling out so the bottom glass was sliding down. Just another issue. Hotel is near the airport, so I could hear a plane once in awhile, but it was not an issue. Just a low roar, barely heard it fly over. Room not very quite, if someone was talking out in the hallway, it sounded like they where in the room with you.

Room clean & spacious, staff friendly & helpful. Bar in lobby a good hangout. Restaurant great... Bourbon salmon moist & flavorful, shrimp & grits tasty but not overloaded with butter. Restaurant furniture badly worn (surprising they let it go this far, but the food is tasty!). Convenient to airport.

Ive never stayed at a Crowne Plaza hotel. I’m used to top tier hotels and service. This hotel was great. My favorite part was that Brandon at the front desk was fantastic! This man understands hospitality and deserves a raise!! Thank you Brandon for making our stay wonderful, you were a delight! If you go here, ask for Brandon!

My daughter & I just stayed 2 nights at Crowne Plaza. We had absolutely zero issues. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. There is laundry on site. Very clean hotel inside & out. There is a pleasant smell upon entry. No bad smell issues. We had plenty of parking. The Tanger Outlet is across the street. There’s several restaurants, Starbucks & Walmart within 5-10 mins from the hotel. There will be planes flying over but it wasn’t an issue inside. This is the hotel we will stay in on our future visits. I 100% recommended this place
