I love this store. However, the last time I was there an employee very rudely told a customer that was spinning the tower the jewelry and stuff was on to not spin the towers. If that is indeed the case they need to have all the merchandise easily accessible. You HAVE to spin the towers to view all the merchandise.

Perfectly unfriendly, just as you’d expect. Came in hoping to see if a shirt I found on Hot Topic’s website was available in-store and as I entered, I was asked what I was looking for, I shared what the item was, and was met with a scoff and a snappy "No. We don’t have any merch like that. You can try Spencer’s." I don’t fault her for the lack of knowledge of what the company carries online but would have appreciated any level of respect and not getting scoffed at for answering a question/seeking assistance. Huge bummer.

Very cute shirts, but I am very displeased with the customer service. I went in with a friend, and we were respectful, and quiet. There was almost no one else in the store, so it wasn't busy. We were scolded by an employee named Janya for moving a display, when it wasn't even us that moved it. When we checked out, she was rude and cold to my friend and I, for absolutely no reason. I usually don't leave reviews, but this experience was horrible, and not acceptable in a place of business.

The customer service is horrible at hot topic. The lady check me out was very rude. The price are different in store then online. I got shirt that was 12 dollars in store was regular price a rip off. I ask her if they have pj pants and she said no didn’t even bother to look in the back or see if I want to order online: I won’t come back to that store. Very disappointed

We visited opry mills to school shop for my kids and my daughter has entered a new style and wanted to go into hot topic. I cannot remember her name but there was a woman with big gauges in her ears, I want to say it started with a K, she was beyond amazing. So helpful and so nice. She informed me that I could sign up for emails and texts to receive an extra percentage off our order and considering the total of what we spent, it was MUCH appreciated. She was amazing.

I had one of the most delightful customer experiences I've ever had last weekend with Crystal. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and SO friendly. I work in customer service myself, and she is a credit to the profession. I've been raving about it for days. In our company, we talk about "what does 10-star service look like?" It looks like the service I got from Crystal. My receipt didn't have a survey on the bottom of it, so I didn't get a chance to compliment her officially, so I sincerely hope someone at Hot Topic sees this review and gives her the flowers she deserves.

On 10/31/2024 I bought two pairs of socks during a BOGO 30% off sale at this Hot Topic location. One pair was $7.90 ($6.89 after discount) and the other was $5.90 ($5.14 after discount). On 11/9/2024 I went back to exchange the $6.89 (originally $7.90) pair of socks for a different pair priced under $6.00 The cashier stated not knowing how to perform a return/exchange and proceeded to call the store manager. Unfortunately for me, the manager had no idea how to complete this type of transaction either. She attempted to charge me $6.89 for a pair of socks that was under $6.00! To make both items the same value when they were clearly not. I repeatedly told her that if it was easier for her to remove the prior discount, I gladly would pay for them regular price. It would have been around $5.90 each plus tax. I also told her that if it was this much trouble, I rather return that one pair and not buy the new one. However, after long minutes arguing back and forth, she performed a transaction where I ended paying $6.89 for a pair of socks that were less than $6. I asked several times if I was going to receive a refund because of this new pair being of less value than the one I was returning. But it's been a month and I haven't received anything. 😝👎🧦
