Customer Reviews
Calle Ocho Hype & Hobbies has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 51 reviews on Google
I’ve pre ordered destined rivals 4/11/25 and still hasn’t shipped I’ve tried emailing multiple times and no response I’ve tried calling got in touch 1 time and now my number is blocked I paid 260$ and they are just holding my money after almost 5 months I still haven’t got a response. At this point I should get my money back and interest for letting you home my money for 5 months This is a screen shot from 8/16/25 and still hasn’t shipped or reached out but multiple people are posting reviews buying boxes that I gave them money for
Cute small shop with some great stuff but staff is definitely not the friendliest towards newcomers, they lack customer service etiquette and they seem to have sort of a clique culture where if you are not part of the, it seems, already established group you are not payed much attention to nor does it feel like they take you seriously with rather low-ball offers when it comes to selling to the shop, the fact that unless somebody is waved down they will not attend you even if one has no idea of where to go and who to speak to and when you finally get a hold of someone they seem like its too much ofna hassle attending to you or like you have distracted them from the most entertaining game of sitting behind a counter and doom-scrolling, and to be honest, very significant increases in price despite market prices for products that they sell. I understand that shops like these have certain operating costs and this is not cheap so I am not too upset and their pricing although if I had to say something else about this specifically, I would definitely NOT sell anything to this shop and would very seldomly even go to check their stock out because although they always have something, the price just isn't worth the awkwardness and uncomfortability that I have personally experienced by the people who own/operate the business. It is sad to see that even in hobbies like these there is this kind of high school clique behavior and although I don't wish any ill-will towards this business I do look forward to them at least developing their customer service skills at the bare minimum to better serve other customers however as for me, unless I have to meet someone there to make a trade or sale, I DO NOT think I will be returning to this establishment to do business with them any time in the near future.
Store owner was transparent with shipping order that was delayed due to weather. Items arrived late, but safe and as described. Props to them for limiting high demand items. They've gained a loyal customer and I will be continuing to order online with them.
One of my favorite places to go in Laredo! Kid friendly, tons of selection, great pricing. If you are into collecting, you definitely have to check it out.
picked up 3 destined rivals booster boxes at an amazing price! can’t wait to become a life long customer
my buddy and i just spent an hour looking through their bulk cards only for the employee, who was in the middle of a yugioh game, to tell us that it would take a long time to check us out and to come back Tuesday or Wednesday to get the price. on a stack of cards worth no more than $5 brother we are never coming back to your store again
Quaint little place. Nice card tournament shop. Basic selection. Will return.
