The Shop Iowa City

Fantastic anchor in the Downtown Iowa City shopping scene! I’ve been a customer for over 6 years. From candles and locally made prints to vintage apparel, housewares, and more, The Shop has a great selection. The owners are always incredibly helpful! The Shop has a fantastic assortment for all ages and genders and I’m very grateful it’s owned by badass women.

I had a very unpleasant experience here one there was no music going. The store was empty, and the store employee told me to lower my voice when I was talking on the phone with my mother. And said that he did not want to hear a conversation on the phone, even though I was talking at a normal level. I just thought it was inappropriate. I was really excited to check out the store, but he made it a very uncomfortable environment for me.

I can’t say enough about this shop. I love shopping local, but so many places are too expensive. Well, you can go in to this place knowing you can afford something. This is my go to place if I want to find a cute decoration for my house, or a new shirt. The staff is really friendly. There’s a lot of Iowa decor!

The perfect shop! This is the best place in Iowa City to shop for decor, art, goodies, gifts, baby gifts, clothes, candles, accessories, earrings, cleaning supplies (local), and anything else you had no idea that you couldn't live without! This gem is located in a historic building in downtown Iowa City, where University Camera was located for years. There is ample parking and the staff is helpful and friendly. Such a bright, beautiful, happy space! Shop small. Shop here!

This place has a lot of cool items. One of my favorite household accents came from here. It's a great stop if you have time to kill in Iowa City!

Good vibes immediately as you walk in. Nice array of goods, mix of old and new, and some Iowa artists.

What a cute place! There is so much variety of items to buy in this store! Keep stopping by, you never know what you'll find! They have cute clothes, jewelry, home decor, and so much more!
