T-Asian Market

We drove 1 hour and 30min to come here it was such a fun experience the staff were so lovely and nice, the restaurant in the back had great ramen and such a lovely seating area. The selection of hot food to cold prepared food was fantastic. There was a very wide selection of items from all over that you can’t find just anywhere ! It was so fun going with my family and being able to get a feel of different cultured items it made us feel like we were transported somewhere else. The only downside I have is that since going viral on TikTok/ instagram, some of the items were raised outrageously in price and not labeled. That is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. We spent about over $50 on half a bag of items so if you’re coming be aware it’s an experience more than anything.

Food, ice cream, and drinks are ALL amazing. The workers are nice too and the store is always cleaned and organized. 11/10, if you love trying Asian foods then you will love it hear

This place is a hidden gem. They have fresh hot meals (ramen, katsu, rice bowls), a variety of bubble teas, and microwaveable pre-made meals (including various buns, onigiri, and musubi). On top of this they sell a wide variety of snacks, beverages, frozen goods, sauces, seasonings, everything you need. A one stop shop for sure! Plan on being a regular.

This store is clean with a mid selection at best. Their prices are horrendously high! For example, the instant coffee sticks here cost 3-4x what they cost at H-Mart. I can buy a fresh bubble tea at my favorite restaurant for only a couple dollars more than a canned or instant tea mix here, too.

I really liked the variety, and the in-store eatery. One thing I did not care for was, the prices. It was definitely more expensive than others that I have been to. Also, my daughter and I purchased the corn on the cob ice cream and they both happened to be expired by 7 months. We still ate them, because I hate wasting money. Perhaps they can just go around and check expirations on all of their items?

The Asian market is so cool. A lot of interesting things. A little pricey. The to-go food looks amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Clean and lots of unique stuffs that you don’t find anywhere else in Connecticut. This store mainly focuses on Thai groceries but also has Japanese/Korean groceries plus snacks and cute imported merchandises. The Whale Tea is also inside the store. This store is frequently replacing/moving furnitures around and sometimes even a few shelves around. At one point they did an extensive renovation. Photos you see from all of these reviewers may look different from one another but it's all from the same place. I love the presentation and arrangement of this store. It feels like a mini Japanese market place store (or even mini H Mart) where everything are nicely and neatly presented and shelved. This is so far the prettiest and cleanest Asian store I had seen in Connecticut. Side note: Beware of one middle age lady behind The Whale Tea is grumpy and she has a bit attitude problem. Skip her and use the Kiosk to order just to get in and get out. The young Whale Tea staffs in Milford next to G-Mart are much friendlier and pleasant to deal with. Update: A ramen serving counter is added to the back of the store.
