The Geek Peek (Pokemon, MTG, Gundam & OP)

I have been going to various card shops since I was young, and I have never seen a community like this one. I started going here to just search for Pokemon cards since all of their selection is very well organized and easy to sift through. The product is always rotating and their is always something fun to find there (outside of just cards). Now I go there to hang out and play on the weekends with community members I can now consider friends. Even the staff and the owners are very personable and easy to get a long with. Definitely a great example of a community driven local business. Its more of a hang out, where you can comfortably spend hours hanging out and playing, than it is a place you just go to "look around."

Checked this place out about a year ago with my boyfriend because we saw someone recommend it on Facebook, and it has WAY exceeding our expectations. Jill and Mikey have been nothing but friendly, everyone always says hi and chats when we come in, the customers and people that just hang out are incredible. I've made some great friends since frequenting; I was just a collector but with everyone's overwhelming support I'm now a happy (and knowledgeable) player of Pokemon, Riftbound, and MTG. They're generally well stocked, well organized, reliable with trades/holds, and very willing to work with you on whatever you need. It's also one of the only game stores I feel comfortable enough to go in alone. Go to the Geek Peek, hang out at the Geek Peek. It's a home away from home.

The Geek Peek has singlehandedly been the HUGE reason why we, as an entire family, have taken up playing Pokémon. Not only is the staff always welcoming and knowledgeable, but the community that they have built is like no other. Going to plenty of other card shops in the area we have experienced other shop workers belittle our son, who is 9, act like we are a nuisance by simply shopping, and quite honestly be sexist towards me personally. Never do I have to worry that my son will be treated disrespectfully or that I, as a woman, will be talked down to at Geek Peek. The work that Mikey and Jill put into their shop is evident in the community they have worked hard to build. Thank you for being our home away from home. For making us feel comfortable and safe and seen and appreciated. For letting us have a safe space to let our nerdy flags fly high. You guys are wonderful. Running a business is NOT easy and it is not for the faint of heart. But you are building something wonderful. We love you guys 🖤 For anyone reading this review who is a parent...please do not hesitate on letting your kids get into a TCG. Especially with a wonderful shop like this.

The Geek Peek quickly became my favorite card store in the area! Mike and Jill are wonderful as owners, they made me feel like a regular customer on my first visit and every visit since. The customer base they have there feels very much like a community, and a welcoming one at that. If you’re ever in the area, absolutely check them out!

The review about this place being cluttered and narrow was quite odd. This is exactly how this sort of shop should be; a place full of treasures that requires love and patience to fully appreciate and rewards exploration. I live down the block and they've been a great addition to what used to be a very sleepy part of Cleveland but what in recent years is turning into one of the city's more interesting and funky neighborhoods.

I absolutely love my visits to this shop! I've been collecting cards since I was very young and they have an amazing selection to choose from. Every time I've been in there the staff and other customers have been extremely welcoming and friendly to me as well. I highly recommend this place for indulging in your hobbies, there's something for everyone 💜

Geek Peek is the best local card shop you could ask for! They care about the people that come in and they bring the community together. If you’re someone looking for a good card shop for tournaments or even just enjoy the TCG hobby then it is a must visit!
