Digital coupons are difficult for some elderly people to use. But my compliant is more specific. The signage in the store for Pepsi products read: $9.99 each with digital coupon. Limit 4. I scanned the code in but when I went to check out I was told you have to buy 4 to get the $9.99 price. I said no the sign says limit 4 not that you have to buy 4. I took the customer service rep back and showed her the sign. Then I looked at the sign again and in the middle in very tiny print it indicated you had to buy 4 to get the sale price. The customer service rep had not even seen this small print. To me this is very deceptive advertising. The print on this caveat was so small that I could not read it without my glasses. Please....could you make your in store advertising clear and don't use fine print to trick us. Us older folk have enough challenges.
On January,26,2026, I had went to the store to buy a cake for my sister, I grabbed the candles, with no shopping cart, I forgot that I had placed them in my pocket till I got home and forgot to pay, I was so busy I didn't have time to go back but I did promise myself I will go back and pay for it because it was never my intention to steal. February 3 2026 I had finally got the chance to go back, I brought the candles for someone else's birthday, and decided it best if I go to the customer service and let them know that I was willing to pay for the candle I mistakenly taken home. The cashier at the customer service was very rude about it, I told her it was a mistake and I wanted to pay for it because I didn't put it in my pocket on purpose I forgot about it so I came back and payed for it, cause it the right thing to do. She had said to me after I explained why I was there, in a rude tone,"Are you so used to putting stuff in your pocket you decided to do it again", I felt embarrassed because there was a customer before and one beside me. I told her it was not my intention, I never stole anything from there, it was just a mistake and that I was back to pay and fix it because it was bothering me. Her name was Mercy, I didn't like her tone and what she said, it like she judged me as soon as I told her why I was there. Anybody could've done the same thing and would've never came back to pay for a candle only 2.50$. I experienced this kind of rude behavior from her before and I just let it go and be nice about it. I just wanted to do the right thing, it so wrong for her to say all that, not understanding my side of the story. I had patience with her, I see her every time I walk in, she's always eyeing me down. Please I'm not there to steal anything, if I didn't have money I would just stay home, cause stealing is wrong. So mercy, you have no right to be rude to a customer who is just trying to do the right thing.
2021- updated with pix only 2020- Its my go to carrs. I get Starbucks daily i love all the girls that work there verne trained them all so i know they are good. I also love the manager at night hes so wonderful. The cashiers are so friendly here its my favorite place to grab groceries, they are open till 1am which has saved me a few times when i need that one thing i forgot lol.
Well for some reason I've become a target for their loss prevention. I've had a very rude and inappropriate manager start looking through my bags of purchased items TWICE! I've asked her what her problem is with me and she doesn't respond. Just says, "I can follow anyone I want and I can verify you've purchased everything!". I informed her that if she goes into my basket and starts rifling through my groceries her and I are going to have a problem! I've reported the behavior twice, and was assured that the District Manager would be calling me to follow up! The first time this occurred I only had cash on me, I forgot my debit card. So when I realized that I only had $100.00 I started deleting items from my cart. She proceeded to "scold me" for picking up items and deciding not to purchase. "You make way too much work for us, you've ruined the ice cream as it's melted. I told her to check her facts, it was on an in-store markdown because something happened and all the ice cream for this specific brand were ALL partly melted out of your freezer! I asked what her issue was with me; she reiterated that I damaged merchandise (melted ice cream) and made more work for them because I couldn't manage my money! Yes, she actually said this! I go there to pick up my prescriptions, but I will no longer purchase groceries from them, I don't care how good of a deal they have!
Nicest Carrs in Anchorage by far but as others have said Sue is a TERRIBLE cashier. She has no business ringing people out and should be put in a position where she does not interact with other humans.
Everything you need. Very clean and a great selection and reasonably priced.
I was super late and the guy let me in despite his coworkers being upset... so I made sure I wasn't the last person to be in the store. I hope he doesn't regret doing a good deed for the day!
