Rick's Collectibles on North 6th

Wanted to sell in my Funkos. Owner gave a low offer and said the total I could get for them wasn’t even worth what I was asking but when asked to show proof he couldn’t. I didn’t want to sell on my own so I decided to take the low offer. He told me I could get paid same day then turned around and said I had to pick up the check the next day at the mall. Mind you I live no where near the mall and wasn’t going over there any time soon. He then proceeded to ask where I’d like to pick it up from and I said the north 6th location. instead of acknowledging he went and still took it to the mall and then got angry and told me I couldn’t sell with him for 6 months because I said nevermind because I wasn’t going over there when my products were at the north location where I originally took em. I understood that they don’t open Monday-Wednesday, I was already having to wait to get my stuff so why not wait for the check. Finally got him to drop off at the north location after trying with him again . Well today(Thursday) I get the check and my bank declined it on my mobile deposit and required I had to bring it in because he wrote it out in sharpie and it bled through the back so they couldn’t make out my signature etc. well I don’t have a bank here nearest one is in San Angelo. So I go back to the north location to cash it and they said they didnt have enough money on hand ($230) so I just gave up and took my products home to sell myself. Can’t post the screenshots but just overall Terrible experience. The staff was fantastic except for the owner. I even read another review how he was blasting his employee in front of a customer smh.

Excellent staff, helpful and friendly! Well organized store, lots of neat things. Unfortunately, an older gentleman that appeared to be the owner was extremely critical and negative towards his staff. The sweet staff member finally had to interrupt him berating her just so I could check out. He had been blocking the register space and was so absorbed in his rant, he did not even notice me. Unfortunate management practices. I would hesitate to buy in the future based on his attitude alone.

They buy up all the Pokémon cards in town so they can resell them for triple the price.

I had a hard time finding the correct business to do the job I needed done. Hearing from friends how this other business or that other business would mess up or have to come back to fix something left me feeling uneasy. Little overpriced, Does have some good collectibles, friendly service It's definitely worth a return trip.
