I’m amazed by the massive portion the restaurant is offering. Unlimited the side dishes for dine in and not tip required!!! The spicy beef knife-cut noodles is a must try!!
Perilla oil noodles - authentic Korean dish. The chef, the sweetest Korean grandma asking if we enjoyed the meal, homemade tea. A gem Came back and had spicy mixed cold noodle. Incredible. I love it here
My wife love the cold noodle. I like no tip requirement🤣 All do by yourself but they will clean up after you left. Quite and intertesting store
Staff was really nice. The restaurant gives cozy vibes. Liked that we were able to get our own banchan. Got the cheese spicy chicken hot stone bibimbap and it was really good!
I had a great time here. I had their beef noodle soup. It came with wheat noodles which were great. They had plenty of sides you can have for no extra cost. The macaroni salad and kimchi were on point! We also had some delicious pork dumplings which I believe used noodle dough as the casing. I totally recommend coming here if your in the mood for soup and noodles.
This endless summer heatwave has me craving anything icy and invigorating—and nothing delivers quite like a steaming bowl of naengmyeon (cold noodle soup). At Guksu Jip, it's the unexpected star ingredient that stole the show: fresh watermelon slices floating in the broth. I couldn't resist ordering the classic mul naengmyeon, while my friend went for the spicy bibim version. The main difference? The spicy one amps up the heat with extra cabbage, a hearty meatball, and a sprinkle of pine nuts. The broth is a revelation—deeply flavorful yet incredibly light and refreshing, with a perfect balance of salty, sweet, and umami notes. I leaned into the savory side, but my friend swore by the subtle sweetness. It's delicious straight from the bowl, but a splash of vinegar and a dollop of mustard (both on the table) takes it to euphoric levels. The buckwheat noodles have that signature chewy bounce—satisfying without being gummy. If long strands aren't your vibe, they provide scissors to snip them down. Just be prepared for the earthy buckwheat taste; it's an acquired charm for some. The toppings were hit-or-miss: the beef and meatball felt a bit dry and tough, so I'd happily skip them next time. Cucumber, radish, and half a boiled egg were fresh and crisp as expected—solid but unremarkable. But the watermelon? Absolute game-changer. Juicy, peak-season bursts of sweetness that cut through the savory broth like summer in every bite. I devoured my slices and eyed my friend's bowl greedily; it's the combo that makes this dish unforgettable. Pro tip: Order at the counter upfront—they hand you a number card, and your steaming (er, chilling) bowl arrives at your table shortly after. Hit the self-serve station for banchan like punchy kimchi and creamy macaroni salad (both stellar), plus water, utensils, and to-go boxes. One caveat: They only accept cash or Zelle—no cards—so come prepared.
The noodles here are really good, especially the Spicy Beef Knife-Cut Noodles (Yukaejang) — the flavor is just right and the noodles have a great chewy texture. The steamed dumplings are packed with meat, and the wrapper has a nice bite to it. I also love their Mini Katsu — super crispy and delicious!
