Incredible asian market. This market is a cornerstone for the local SEA community. It has a large variety of SEA and asian sauces and foods. Lots of vegetarian/vegan meats and sauces (vegetarian/vegan fish sauce etc.). Fresh tofu, fresh soy milk, and fresh Vietnamese deserts they bring in from VN Tofu in the city. The owner is inviting and usually happy to help you find an item or try to source it (if they don’t have it) The only small downside is sometime prices can be inconsistent (high for one item and low for another). i used to go there and i still wanna go there because they have many varieties of frozen fish. but i never really details and checked of my receipt. until one day i checked out two times in one day, because suddenly my husband want to add only 1 green mango. and they charged me until $4.31, well i checked it how can mango almost $5.00, i found out they charged me again for banana leaves that i have been paid in the first checked out. i know you want to make money to your business but not cheating to your customers please. thank please guys be aware with this place. check your receipt before you leave. new update : the day after that on 05/11. i met the lady, she is nice. she asked me do you think that charge extra is come with the purpose? she was nice. but you know what guys.. i am still buying groceries again after that. and it worse than before. i bought one vietnamese mango for $19.48!!!!! the real scammers. guys this place is scammers!! you imagine ONE MANGO for almost $20!! i will not buying anything anymore in this place!! everything so pricey!!

Bad customer service and terrible food. Everything is expensive than another store. Never come again. The owner is really rude and mean.

I absolutely adore this place! It’s incredibly convenient for Elgin residents to access Asian groceries at reasonable prices, especially when it comes to their fresh produce. Surprisingly, I’ve noticed that sometimes their produce is even more affordable than what you’d find in Chinatown in Chicago. While their dry food selection is quite good, it’s essential to note that this isn’t the spot to hunt down niche Asian products. However, the friendly lady at the front always makes the shopping experience pleasant. Regarding the claims of overcharging, I disagree. Some of their seasonal fresh items might cost a bit more, but it’s usually because they’re unique or one-time offerings. Keep an eye out for the price tags, which clearly state the cost or price per pound. If something seems too expensive, simply put it back. There is nothing much to complain about.

If I could give negative star or zero star I would. This place is very expensive, their price as 40% to 50% over price compare to other Asian store that I have been. Walk around the fish and meat area smell so bad , I did not buy any thing , walk in and walk out with empty hand. There were not many customers in the store and people check out at cashier their cart only few items. Never go to this store again.

This store price gouges like crazy; everything is very pricey. Think twice before buying their banh mi sandwiches, it smelled terrible! You can't even trust their freezer items, because the ice cream i bought was melted and refrozen. This store is only in business because there's no other Asian market in town.

Its great to walk into a store where the employees are calm, patient and kind. Also the variety here is amazing, its huge~!!! Even when its busy its not really busy, so there might be a small crowd but thats it. People coming here seem to generally know what they want and its a quick in and out for most. That being said, they are some pleasant customers, its definitely nothing like the people who solely shop at Walmart. The prices, atmosphere and variety make this somewhere you gotta visit. I got my divided hotpot pot here!
