Gate Languages

My son has attended the after school Spanish program at his elementary school for now had second year. My son is a nuerodiverse child who struggles with his adhd but really wants to learn Spanish. After I emailed the director today to question why her staff told my 5th grade son that his mom didn’t pay for continued class as it’s prepaid at registration. And to discuss another student snaking my son on the back with paper/tape where he wrote " insert my sons name is fat"., " insert name is stupid" I got a call from the director Pat. Who had never called me before. The director told me that they never told my son that, I found this odd because I picked up my son and his friends from class today and they got in my car and reported it to me immediately asking why I hadn’t been paying. Then the director Pat proceeded instead to tell me a story about my son saying he stood on the table in class and screamed, but not one other student witnessed this. After our conversation I received an email saying that my son would not be able to attend the program anymore. And that they would have no comment on them embarrassing him in front of class. Extremely disappointed and the fact that Director made up a story to make my son seem like a "bad kid" is not ok. Wouldn’t trust my kid with these people.

I have taken one-on-one and small group Spanish lessons from the director for several years. Classes are conducted almost exclusively in Spanish resulting in immersion in the language right away. The course textbook is supplemented with additional materials and online lessons for extracurricular practice. I am very pleased with the Spanish lessons and my improvement in speaking and understanding Spanish.
