Gandomak Persian School

We have sent both of our boys to Gandomak since they were 1.5, and they are now 5 and 8. The teachers are experts in their craft, and the classes are more than language classes. The kids learn about the history and culture of Iran in a hands-on and interactive way which helps the content stick. Each class includes stories, art activities, movement to music, and literacy training. The kids also have a sense of community among each other and have become friends outside of class. Finally, we have really appreciated the way the teachers and content can flex to support kids whose Persian is limited because one parent does not speak English. They make the non-Persian speaking parent feel welcome and integrated, especially in the class for 1.5-3 year olds.

My children, ages 5 and 2, love Gandomak! My youngest really enjoys the music focus and often sings or hums the songs on the car ride back home. My eldest enjoys learning about Iran, as much as the language, and especially loves the hands-on curriculum, especially the cooking activities. Highly recommend Gandomak for any child, including those who have never been exposed to the Persian language.

Wonderful organization and community! I have been taking my kids here for 2 years now as a way to have them learn Farsi and immerse them in Iranian culture, and Gandomak has consistently gone above and beyond. Grateful to the whole team for creating a fun environment for learning Farsi, and highly recommend to anyone looking for Farsi classes for their little one(s) as well.

The classes are fantastic. The instructors are warm, knowledgeable, and well prepared with engaging lesson plans that make my kids excited to learn Farsi. My kids love it, and I am so grateful for this school that has helped improve their Farsi and brought us so much joy.
