Dr. Schulman is a kind, attentive physician who (clearly) takes pride in his profession. His ownership of his expertise was footed in an authentic, knowledgable and comprehensive approach, genuinely tempered with the humility that allowed him to openly profess a "love for his job"on more than one instance (during my appointment). For me, that level of pride speaks volumes.

Very horrible experience from the beginning. My first dermatologist left the practice and I had to start over with a new Dr. The new doctor also left before my treatment was done and CSV had to many patients to give me a new doctor. I had to find somewhere else and start over once again. Office is incredibly had to get a hold of on the phone. Had issues with billing and being charged more money that I should have been. It took me months talking to all parties involved to get the issue resolved. Seems like there are too many patients for the doctors to see and the patients are suffering. Scheduling is months out and they don't seem like they even really care about their patients. Lucky for them that they are one of the few dermatologists in the area. Nothing like paying lots of money to go to the dermatologist for over two years and my skin to be worse than when I started.

Grateful to have such a knowledgeable and dedicated doctor. I highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Jessica Gonzales for several years now and followed her when she moved to Christus. I’d follow her to any practice because she is phenomenal. She is all the things a provider should be. She’s kind, compassionate, patient, brilliant, down to earth, open minded, supportive, thorough, and wonderful to be around. I see many providers in my life and have seen many across the years and she is my favorite of all. Her kindness and care is unparalleled. I couldn’t recommend her enough. And I will also mention that at today’s visit the check in process was seamless and her MA was so wonderful! The whole experience couldn’t have been better. Thank you for your exceptional care.

As other reviewers have mentioned, Dr. Patel is a very good and thorough dermatologist, with an excellent manner with patients. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Sorry about the 2 stars, doctor. The office staff are competent and polite. However, I have cancelled my upcoming appointment and found a new dermatologist. I am doing this because of continued problems with Christus St. Vincent billing. I was billed thousands of dollars for a biopsy due to being charged a facility fee for the procedure. I have now spent uncounted hours dealing with the billing implications of this, including disputes and claims. The billing department has also lost the record showing that they reimbursed me for overpayment and are now demanding more money for a bill that was thrown out in a dispute, with threats of collection activity. I have spent uncounted hours advocating for myself in the face of the Christus St. Vincent billing department. I am sick of the stress and the waste of my precious time. I will no longer receive services from any Christus facility if I can avoid it. Buyer beware. Read your insurance. If you have a high deductible and your insurance reads "X% coinsurance before deductible", you will be paying the bill if there is a facility fee.

November 11, 2022 I called and set up an appointment for March 13, 2023. I had a horrible case of Eczema. On February 8 2023 I recieved a call that the dermatologist I wanted to see had left the hospital. I asked if I could keep my appointment but see another provider and the answer was no. They completely cancelled my appointment but gave me the option to reschedule for June. Are you kidding me? I had already waited 3 months in misery, I had already requested time off and I had no other recourse. One star is all I can do but if I was able to I wouldn't give any stars to this place. Very unhelpful.

Why is the wait time for an appointment so ridiculous?? I swear my appointment was canceled not by any fault of mine and then I get scheduled out and it's like 3 or 4 months! I've only had like 2 experiences with these individuals because the dang appointment availability is just absurd. I'm just gonna start going somewhere else unforunfortunately, I can't wait 3 or 4 months for an appointment. Incredibly disappointed, BUT this is all of Christus and their clinics. Most don't have a choice due to insurance 😕
