Chicken District

Chicken District is located inside an eatery, first restaurant on you left when you enter. The overall atmosphere is welcoming and full of energy. It is a little loud so do not expect to enjoy quiet meal in this setting. Obviously, lots of chicken options but with a twist. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad and was pleasantly surprised by both the serving size and quality. The salad and croutons were fresh and every bite was crispy. The chicken strips were friend to perfection and salted just enough. The thing that put it over the top for me was the Cesar dressing. It was flavorful and thick. I was surprised to find two dressing cups! The staff are polite and accommodating. A must eat if you like chicken.

This spot pleasantly exceeded my expectations! I ordered the lemon pepper and hot honey wings, which were fried to perfection—crispy, flavorful, and impeccably seasoned. The combination of tangy lemon pepper and sweet heat from the honey was a match made in flavor heaven. The cauliflower was also a standout—absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The side salad, while fresh, didn’t quite measure up to the high bar set by the other dishes. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the bold flavors of the wings and cauliflower. Overall, this place is a winner, and I’d definitely come back for another round of those incredible wings and cauliflower. Highly recommended!

The most disappointing thing was the flavor of the chicken sandwich. I got the Nashville, hot chicken sandwich and it was literally made with sweet baby ray’s sauce, straight out of the bottle. Yes the one that you buy at the supermarket for two dollars. I was hoping that the breading would compensate, but it was just bland. Service was fine. The location itself is in this kind of food court and was a little bit cramped; it wasn’t too bad, but if it would have been rush-hour, it would have been impossible. Today was my last night in town and I wanted to eat something great, this was not it. Edit: the old place smells like a fryer so you will be smelling like fried chicken for the rest of the day. Edit 2: the fries were superb, they were flavorful and had the perfect combination of crispy and fluffy.

Rolled into Mobile Alabama from Lufkin Texas. Came here to see Joe Bonamassa. Closest he was to Texas. Decided a burger would be nice so we tried The Hammered Cow Met a worker there from Grand Bury I believe on a guy from the Keys. They were two fantastic young people working there. Enjoyed talking to them! I got some triple patty burger (MINUS THE BACON!!! per the girl they ran out of BACON! How Could You Run Out of BACON????, lol) Wife got southwest egg rolls Oh my burger was fantastic, didn’t need any BACON, lol

The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich was off the chain! Pretty good place considering that there is a cluster of restaurants in the area, might have to give the Hammered Cow a try sometime.

Been to this place twice. The food is made to order never cold. The flavors are to die for. The staff is always friendly. Point system available. Receive texts messages stating your order is ready. Plenty of seating for dining in. Outside seating available. Fresh desserts available. It’s located near other restaurants to choose from. Reminds me of Toronto.
