Chicken Box

We got our 10 PC meal with poppers and mac n cheese. The chicken was crispy and fresh. The Mac n cheese was absolutely delicious and the poppers were fantastic. This place has now become our new favorite chicken spot!

Went twice before reviewing. Had promise but they seem overwhelmed. The two staff at the register can't keep track of simple orders and are in confusion with the two cooks in the back. Tip: call in your order...and then call again to check it is ready before going or you will be there all day. I hope they get better, it could be a good spot!

The food I got was made to order, so very fresh! I believe it just got lost in a tiny language barrier that I wanted the chicken fried steak, they gave me the chicken fried rice instead. Honestly? It was still very good and I felt like I ate so much, but it definitely doesn't show! I'm not really a people person, so that's why the ding on atmosphere, it is definitely a small building but still have the great customer service!

This is going to be a biased review. My family has enjoyed the Chicken Box for over 40 years. When I heard the original location was no longer in business I was crushed. However, to see that there is a newer location brought joy to my heart. The taste was just as I remembered. Fried chicken, gizzards, wings...it's all still available. I want a shirt next time! The service was personal. They take pride in knowing you and are not afraid to start a conversation with you. The food was fresh and prepared well with the spices I was familiar with. There was ample space inside to sit down and everyone was happy. Nostalgia aside, this is good chicken! Unique in taste and options. Service is great and the same as it was 40 years ago..."real". Real people putting their heart and soul into what they love. It doesn't get any better than that!

You must come try the Kimbop it was amazing and the little ladies reminded me of my aunties. If you like korean home style food you will like this place.

My husband and I visited during lunch hour. The restaurant was busy, but they seemed to be accommodating people within a timely manner (we didn't receive the same service). . Our food took a long time to come out 35+ minutes. We then were informed they were out of chicken (mind you this was during lunch!). My husband understood and asked if he could please have tenders instead. They gave him 3 TINY strips. Disappointed in the food and the lack of punctuality.

My kids loved the chicken tenders, they cook them fresh but it's worth the wait. The perfect runs the counter and she hustles to get the food out! Lots of friendly locals inside. My 11 year old said he hopes they open one on Austin
