Charki's Teriyaki has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 194 reviews on Google
The chicken teriyaki is incredible! The rice is soft and sticky and the sauce they put over it is so delicious! The man who waited on us and made our food was super sweet. The salad had strawberries and blueberries which was a nice surprise. Also tried the beef and shrimp which were good but not as great as the chicken. If you haven’t tried it you’re missing out.
Man, I really wanted to love this place. I’ve heard good things about it, but my experience was not good. The woman behind the counter was so nice, courteous and friendly and she also made the meals. She is what makes this review an overall 2 stars. I ordered Ramen with chicken and chose spicy. I also ordered a large Teriyaki Chicken bowl for lunch the following day. All to go. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time and was hot. I got home and opened up the Ramen and was so excited to enjoy this dish. But I was disappointed in the visual, taste and level of spice. The Ramen looked like it was made from a 25 cent pack of ramen from the grocery store. It was still in the shape of those store bought noodles. The tase was very bland and was not spicy at all. I even stirred it up really well and the taste did not improve. I ate a few bites and then tossed it out. Since I tossed that out I opened up the Teriyaki Chicken to eat that. The chicken was tender and the rice was ok but was very sticky. It was way more sticky than rice used for Musubi. The taste was very underwhelming. Very little teriyaki sauce which made the dish very dry tasting. Even the teriyaki sauce was bland. The dish as a whole was as bland as the Ramen. Both dishes together were a total of $33.75 including tip. My experience with the food was not good. The woman cooking was sooo nice, it makes it hard to leave this review. Food is one star Service is 5 Stars Atmosphere is 2-3 stars. If you are looking for tasty Ramen and teriyaki chicken, I would suggest looking elsewhere. This is my opinion based on my experience. I wish Charki’s the best, but unfortunately I will not return.
The lady provided polite friendly service at the register. We shared: 1. Salmon & shrimp plate with salad & house dressing -- fresh & tasty, highly recommended 2. Chicken & beef plate with veges -- chicken was good, veges were good & the beef was OK but kind of stringy & chewy/more like beef jerky 3. Small kimchi -- tasty & spicy, highly recommended I enjoyed the yummy small details like the slices of fresh fruit 🍓🍇 in the salad & the asparagus on top of the salmon & shrimp and on top of the veges 🥰 We dined in & got cups for water & the water from the fountain was cold, clean & crisp 👍
Great first experience! Ordered the Shrimp plate at lunch time. Only took about 10 minutes to get my freshly prepared order. House dressing on the salad was refreshing as was the crisp salad and fresh fruit! Rice and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Very good food and very good assortment of meals! Will definitely eat here again!!
Solid little hole in the wall place. The lady running the place was very friendly and prepared all the food fresh. I got the beef and shrimp bowl with steamed vegetables. All the food was great, but I feel like there was too much cabbage in the veg, hidden under a layer of broccoli, carrot, and asparagus. I like steamed cabbage so it wasn't much of an issue to me but for the price, that felt a bit cheap.
Been here numerous times. Normally 4+ stars. Not tonight. Literally everything was terrible. Had to swap drinks because the one we ordered was expired. She didn't toss the expired one. She left it in the mini fridge. Shrimp was rubber and tasted a week old. By that I mean a week or more expired beyond it's time and could've been part tire. Both types of beef were dry, tasted old/ expired and like chemicals. The first spicy tuna roll piece I picked up fell apart completely and the tuna melted. The salad dressing was warm ranch. I'm not kidding. I used to love this place. Called and explained the situation. Was offered 50% off next time. No offer to fix it now so a useless gesture. Spent $42 including tip on food worse than 3 days under a heat-lamp McDonald's. Never going back. Damn shame too, the wife and I loved this place. 😢
i dont know what happened, as I remember eating here before and enjoying it. I got a beef bowl, but the rice was very mushy, like when you leave it sitting in the cooker for more than two days. The meat was dry andthe teriyaki sauce wasnt evenly spread to even cover the rice, which was the main thing in the meal. I could only eat it smothered in siracha. Im very disappointed, and I would not order or pay 7 dollars ever again.
