Love campus pointe for the atmosphere and local coffee, gifts, and food options. I am concerned that local PD in the area is racially profiling individuals though. On Saturday Evening, 1/17/26 at approx 10:19 at night, my husband and I went on a late night bike ride, as we were busy with family all day and still wanted to get our exercise in, what little we could, by riding up to the Housing/Maya Theater/Campus Pointe areas, through SaveMart Center as well. I am a white woman. My husband is mexican. He had on a neon orange light backpack and we both were wearing our nightmare before Christmas grey hoodies and we both have lights, reflectors, backlights, the works. When riding through, past Maya to the parking lot of apartments behind it, only to cut through and turn around. We noticed a police officer following us. We came up in between the buildings where the studio apts and the coffee shop next to maya theater were, where he couldn't go, and went right to start our trekk back home. He went AROUND, FARTHEST WAY, the buildings and stopped at the round about leading into fresno state behind and near SaveMart Center. He followed us more all the way through the parking lot until we got on the fresno state campus and sat with his lights off. It was weird and it was creepy. We weren't committing any crimes, only thing not normal about this ride is how late we went. He started to piss me off because its a privacy infringement if he follows without stopping. Please students, neighbors, friends, be careful in that area because it seems a particular LE officer is looking for a reason to pull over or harass ANYONE. I wish there was a number I could call and report him but.....this is the first time this has happened in this area. I just want to bring awareness to this situation as it might be a constant with the tense times going on in the world right. Last thing we need is racist cops profiling a mexican and his white wife riding a bike! Thank you for your time and attention to this.
Decent place to go eat. The have a lot of vacant space and you can tell the are getting somewhat desperate for occupants. I liked it when they had a little vendor fair with actual small businesses, but last time we went it was a bunch of people selling their used items.
I guess the convenience for students and those that reside nearby is good. However the parking sucks and they keep adding buildings but no parking. It seems the school is more interested in making money than actually helping the community. Additionally people tend to park in the handicapped places behind Que Pasa and Hino Oshi to pick up food, blocking them for people that need them. I stay away unless I have to go there.
A perfect end to a good day out on the patio at Quepasa Mexican Grill. The food and flavors were tasty and the staff friendly. I am glad they had an outside seating area. The inside was really loud. I would’ve needed much alcohol to stay inside.
We went to pieolagy for some great pizza and then we went to Maya theater to watch a movie . It's a nice place to go there is a Varity' of restaurants to choose from to eat . Different day then last visit May 6,2023 we were here doing a Vendor show Nice day enjoyed our event lost of Nice people good conversation and some bought plenty of Vendors and plenty of Restaurants to enjoy here
Great center to enjoy food, have a good time, watch a movie if you would like. So many different restaurants as well. If you are going to see a show at the Savemart Center you have to come to this area for pre meals and beverages.
We went to the movie theater. It was nice and clean
