Graduated (B.A Phil) in one of the worst times (COVID)- not CSUSB's fault - but after being rejected to over a dozen entry level positions on campus. I had to realize that not all majors are treated the same, and you do have to choose wisely when it comes to school. In many ways, CSUSB could have more support to their students (i.e having support/career building programs per the individual's major). but without going to CSUSB - I wouldn't have met my wife and created my family; so at the end, it must not have been too bad. Just be careful with what you are studying and make sure you understand what resources are available to you (a known issue that currently exists (i.e not all students knowing about the "DEN"/ their Food assistance program & etc.)
csusb's bachelor's degree/program in administration supply chain management program is a joke and completely unprofessional. I called and spoke with their secretary/receptionist and the "dean" of the program who laughed at me and mocked my serious questions about the program. Like other people said, you get what you pay for. It's no surprise that cal state schools are inferior compared to UC schools.
School is a joke, the entrepreneurship program is laughable. Was the easiest and worst class I've ever taken. Anyone that takes the simplest business class will already know more than what you will here. The instructors preach about starting a business but none of them even have a business. Not to mention the insane fees you will pay on top of your tuition (mine were 2k for one class). Stay away and go to a real school.
If you’re actually smart — not just GPA-smart, but independent-thinker, challenge-the-system, ask-better-questions smart — CSUSB will support you. Here, people respect hard work, original thinking, and quiet ambition. There’s no pretentious act, no herd mentality — just real students, real professors, and degrees that mean something. Now let’s talk about UC Davis. UC Davis is where originality goes to die. If you question anything — the system, the group narrative, the shallow "woke" activism that only exists on Canva slides — you’re instantly labeled "problematic." It’s a campus full of groupthink, where being truly intelligent makes you a threat, not an asset. Want to explore unpopular ideas? Want to push boundaries in science, politics, or tech? Too bad — Davis isn’t interested in thought, just compliance. It rewards people who follow the script and punishes anyone with the guts to think differently. It’s like intellectual prison with compost bins. And what do you get for playing their game? Ten years after enrollment, you’re lucky if you’re making $54K pre-tax. That’s the reward for swallowing your brain and joining the hive mind. Meanwhile, CSUSB grads are moving up — building careers in healthcare, education, business, tech — without the ego, without the debt, and without pretending to be elite. If you value authenticity, intelligence, and actual outcomes, CSUSB is the real one. UC Davis is just a loud, self-congratulatory echo chamber where the truly smart either get silenced — or leave.
This is the best school that I’ve ever been to in my life and they help you with every single thing and it is so worth coming to, and if I could go back in time, I would come to the school before attending community college
CSUSB is a very nice campus. They have great instructors excited about seeing students succeed.
Such a nice campus! Tons of helpful friendly people too! They have so many fun activities during the summer months! Grab a calendar and pencil in some fun! Most of them are free too! They hold the annual pow wow where you can learn about native Americans.
